wait what about ucsd banner, im waitlisted there too
2 days before UCSD’s decision day, some applicants banner disappeared both on phone and laptop. Then 1 day before the decision day, everyone’s banner disappeared. It turned out that the first batch of students whose banners gone are the admitted ones. The second batch was wl and rj. So they assume the disappearance of banner means decision uploading, while UCSD simply uploaded the acceptance first.
My banner disappeared the night before decision day but I got in. I later found out that people who have banners disappeared on decision day got wl and rejected.
Yes thats true. For ucsd, the first batch of applicants whose banners disappeared all got in!!! On china’s social media, nearly 100 students got in with this indicator.
It isn’t an indicator for NYU though right?
So far noone has lost a banner for good. It popped back later. So for now doesnt seem to be one.

it is possible that if the first real acceptances are tn, some people will have no indicators and simply a status update right?

Hi, I know I’m really late, but I’ve been reading this thread for the past two days, I was just lazy to make an account but here I am; I was waitlisted from Tandon (CS) also ended up applying for Stern and CAS on the waitlist form. I am Intl, low-income (qualifying for NYU promise) WLd from ED 2. Also hats off to @Vw13 for keeping a count of insightful data.

No. 81 WL ppl on this thread. 7 have indicators. No formal acceptances yet.
BUT ACCEPTANCES ARE EXPECTED ONLY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE HAD THEIR CHECKLISTS DISAPPEARED?
