hi guys! do you think those who applied ED1 and got waitlisted have a slight boost? i wish nothing but luck to you guys
from what I’ve seen so far, I’m not sure! I was hoping that would be the case, but then someone on reddit (rd, full pay) got off for my major (dramatic writing) last thursday. I think I’ve seen a few ed2 people get off the waitlist so far, but I can’t recall seeing anyone who applied ed1 get off yet (could definitely be wrong though lol)
y’know, I’m not very familiar with college admissions at all – so I don’t know how common it is – but I’ve been thinking it feels kind of weird to be waitlisted for early decision. maybe this is just the past few months of purgatory talking, but are they just, like, waiting to make sure nobody better comes along? lol. kind of crazy to apply with the expectation of getting your decision early (hence the name) and then being told to wait another 6 – 8 months, lmao. I wish I could understand it.

I’ve started making a spreadsheet to track the waitlist acceptances across social media – it’s definitely not perfect and I’m definitely missing some, but this is what I’ve got so far! in case anyone else might find it useful lol

I’ve been refreshing mine all day and haven’t noticed anything personally lol, I think it generally changes a bit later – maybe in like 15 to 30 minutes
