Is the warning banner still visible to anyone?
For me yes
i declined my offer for nyush, even with 23k in grant it was still way too expensive for us
Did anyone got off for stern or nyu Shanghai?
My son got off the waitlist on Friday for Tandon engineering. He already committed to Purdue. Now he is confused if he should accept NYU or just stay put with Purdue. Purdue seems to have good ranking for CS. But he really likes the location of NYU. He has only one day today. Please pour your thoughts over it.
You say he got off for engineering, but then mention Purdue’s CS ranking, so what is he majoring in? If they are different at each college, what would he prefer to major in?
Sure many kids would prefer to live in New York than Indiana, that’s not an immaterial aspect, but remember the Tandon campus is in Brooklyn and not Manhattan - in case that matters.
Ultimately I think he has two good choices, and fit matters. People can talk about ranking but it also matters where he will be happier spending 4 years.
He is planning to major in CS. one thing he likes in NYU other than location is NYU has CS and engineering both in the same college. Later if at all he likes to switch to engineering. In Purdue both CS and engineering are in different colleges. He is interested in doing CS with some finance minor more of a quantum computing. But he should be able to do the switch in Purdue if he maintains the GPA. So debating if it’s worth the money.
What were financial offers from each?
how is there 0 reported stern movements
I’ve seen a couple people mention stern movement, but it does seem very minimal at the moment. fwiw I made this spreadsheet that I’ve been updating with waitlist acceptance data, if you’re interested
Has the warning banner disappeared for everyone?? It hasn’t for me and now I’m panicking HELP
![]()
most people still have it, I think! I haven’t heard about it disappearing for anyone since the last wave on friday, so I don’t think it’s anything to worry about at the moment, tbh
Okay. Thank you!
one person on reddit got off the stern wl
No financial aid from either of those.
Tbh then take Purdue for CS unless he has a major in Stern itself. Otherwise, Purdue
any updates?
nothing new i don’t think. but when does everyone think the next wave will be? and maybe next possible schools?
maybe thursday or friday
I’ll list all the indicators here again, guys, for this cycle and the future. It was so hard for me to find indicators this cycle, scrolling endlessly on old forums, and I don’t want people this cycle and in the future to struggle with this. I hope it’s helpful.
Indicators started showing up for me on Thursday such as the addition of the applicant checklist header and the disappearance of the warning banner, and cost of attendance. But the indicators like the waitlist form and housing showed up on Friday which is when I got admitted. Some people had indicators show up for them Wednesday night, but this didn’t happen for many people.
Most of these photos were taken on my computer, with the exception of the waitlist form and the applicant checklist header. I think everyone who got these indicators got in.

The housing portal will no longer just show ‘Summer 2026’. It’ll now show “Fall 2026.”
5. Your waitlist form will say “Spring first year” or “Fall first year” instead of “regular decision” now.
Here’s an image of the banner before it disappeared (I inspected my name out next to “hello” I was too lazy to scribble it out lol)
