Any major movement for tandon?
Alr, normally I’m a lurker but I gotta ask: is it just me or waitlists across the board seem to not be moving much?
I’ve only been following nyu, but I haven’t seen any movement all week. I really doubt they’re done pulling from the waitlist already, but I have no idea why it’s been so slow lol. I also think multiple schools only started waitlist movement on the 15th, fwiw.
no yeah, I had called them earlier and they had said it’s going to roll for quite a a while, it just shocks me that so little movement is happening for nyu cas, not to mention the other cas schools out there.

yeah same, whatever they’re doing seems incredibly confusing lmao. there hasn’t been any movement from tisch, gallatin, or steinhardt (that I’ve been able to verify) in over 2 weeks, and I haven’t seen ANY movement for meyers or silver at all. which seems extra surprising since it’s been rumored nyu’s yield rate was lower than usual this year.
hey guys, I know it’s been a minute but I just wanted to let y’all know it seems like there might finally be some more waitlist movement soon – someone on reddit (who applied to steinhardt but selected a bunch of alternates) mentioned they have the same indicators as the people who got admitted on friday the 15th – so you might want to keep an eye out over the next few days
also, for what it’s worth, a couple people called NYU admissions earlier. one of the admissions officers had said waitlist movement would slow down on june 15th, and NYU apparently isn’t taking as many students off the waitlist as they did in previous years (stern in particular had a high yield rate, which was probably to be expected). however, the second person who called talked to an admissions officer who said NYU is still accepting people off the waitlist for all majors, and they’ll send out an update in the first week of june. so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens over the next month (or two) or so.
(oh, and if I’m not mistaken, I think someone also called last night and was told NYU would continue pulling students from the waitlist until august, but I think we might’ve already known that lol)
it does look like there was at least a small wave today – there were a few shanghai acceptances this morning, and so far this afternoon there’s been a couple ls core admits (who originally applied to steinhardt, not CAS) and at least one tandon acceptance
literally 0 CAS acceptances what is going on? acting like its 100% yield rate for CAS

yes i did ed 1 to stein and got off for spring LSC today. i had lost all hope. completely forgot about NYU being an option

Do you not understand that they admit more students than they have space for? Universities are generally pretty good at predicting what their yield will be and they admit above that. So of course the yield isn’t 100%. The lack of movement indicates they have correctly estimated their yield.

need to negotiate for aid but if they give me aid then yes
