Just got the letter on the portal. LS, NY Spring 2027. I am not sure what to say… So happy, it’s been a long wait since ED2. Everyone here on the WL deserves to be admitted. I hope they’ll accept many more students and that you will all get in.

Is it too late to change the waitlist application to full pay?
Unfortunately yes, I’m in the same boat
It doesn’t make a difference to admissions. They have their financial aid office draw up the aid. Even if you say you want aid, if they deem you full pay you are full pay. And if you are thinking about changing it to full pay, I’m guessing there’s a very good chance they already have you assessed as full pay anyway.
For the waitlist, NYU is need aware. So they are absolutely more likely to take full pay applicants. So checking the full pay box may increase one’s chances.

Quick thing: on the rightside of the applicant portal, it used to have this big teal blurb about “You’ve been waitlisted” or something of the sort. For me that is gone now– does this mean anything?
same here, it went away a couple of days ago.
