Obscure answers...?

<p>for the short answer questions (favorite food, favorite fictional character, role model, etc), would it be weird to answer with things that the normal person wouldn’t know? i’m korean and i was wondering if i should stay away from korean artist, food, etc…</p>

<p>SC has the most international students of any university. In last year’s class Korean students were the largest number of internationals next to China. The admissions committee has individuals from various backgrounds. </p>

<p>Los Angeles is a cosmopolitan city. SC is a Pacific Rim university. Korean food and culture are part of the international flavor you will find on campus.</p>

<p>Korea’s famous leader for the independence movement is Ahn Chang Ho (Dosan). The Ahn family home of this writer and Korean patriot has been preserved on the USC campus. It has been restored and is now part of the Dornsife School of Letters, Arts and Sciences. The Korean Studies Institute is housed there.</p>

<p>Also, you never know who’s reading! I probably said the Doctor was my favorite fictional character. Not everyone knows that, but maybe someone in admissions did and liked my application because I actually knew who the Doctor was. :slight_smile: </p>
