<p>Does anyone have a child that took a class through a county-sponsored Occupational Programs? They’re available for anyone over 16 - sounds like free skills training in specific areas. I’m wondering if it’d be a good way for a teen to get a skill by which he could earn good money while going to college. Here’s the site for California. Other states seem to have them also. From what I can tell, it is a county-by-county thing. </p>
