Ocean Spray Television Ads

These have really started growing on me. They are incredibly sophisticated, and pretty funny. I wish our corporate marketing people could build such a strong image with our customers. I don’t know who does their marketing and advertising, but they are really talented.

The little video on their Website is a great sample of what their Teevee ads are like: www.oceanspray.com.

Cute. I wonder how many takes they needed to keep straight faces.

Breakaway Brands: Ocean Spray Tells It Straight From The Bog
in Media Posts Marketing Daily

<a href=“MediaPost - News and Conferences for Media, Advertising and Marketing Professionals”>MediaPost - News and Conferences for Media, Advertising and Marketing Professionals;

How could I pass up a website that offers a bog cam?

Shhh, don’t tell- a lot of those berries are grown a thousand miles from the ocean. Can’t remember if MA or WI grows the most. They are fun ads.

I just looked it up –> Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Oregon, New Jersey, and Washington, in that order, as of 2004.

Reminds me of the old Bartles and Jaymes ads (thanks to Curmudgeon over on the Jerry Falwell thread for reminding me about B&J)

I was just thinking the same thing: “This is Frank Bartles and Ed Jaymes. Thank you for your support.”

Here in Mass, growers of the second most cranberries in the US of A, most of the bogs are near Cape Cod and within a 1/2 hour or so of the ocean. So Ocean Spray is a fairly accurate name.

What state grows more cranberries than MA?

Oops. This is what I get for not reading previous posts… :frowning: Never mind.

The cranberries in Wis are grown in the central part of the state, in the middle of nowhere (except the “up North” woods). I think Ocean Spray has bought out/contracted with some local growers, although the “Northland” brand owns a lot, also (I should see if a friend who lives in that area knows any of the trivia).

I believe Ocean Spray is a grower’s cooperative, meaning everyone has a share.

What do y’all think of white cranberries? Don’t care for 'em myself. Not as tasty as the reds.

Real wine is red. So are real cranberries.

Thanks for hooking us up with the Ocean Spray ads. We appreciate good art in advertising. Any other good commercials that we are missing?

I’m personally partial to all those Geico commercials with the Aussie sounding gecko. And my D is crazy for the AFLAC duck.

LOL Thanks Washdad- very funny.

poetsheart Love the gecko and the duck! They must have fun producing those commercials.
