O'Conner Rec Center Fee

Am I reading/understanding this right, that you have to pay $180/year to use the rec center ?

“The fee for the O’Connor Recreation Center is $180/yr from September to August for all faculty, staff, and non-homewood students of the university, hospital, listed affiliates, and spouses.
Please note that the affiliate of the University must be a member of the Recreation Center in order for a spouse to become a member.”

Or does the “non-homewood Student” line mean that Homewood students are free?

It is complementary for Homewood students.

its free for students. You just need a J-Card.

Hope2getrice, it is not free. There is tuition money allocated for sports and recreation. It is included with the cost of tuition.

^ Yes…but its not like its optional what we pay in our tuition.
It’s in our tuition…and we don’t need to pay any additional fees to use it, which is what the OP was unsure about.

So do I understand that the White Athletic center is for varsity athletes only? Is that enforced?
