The angle across from 45 was vertical, but no tthe one across from the equilateral triangle. So the angles were 90, 45, 45, 60, x and y. X is 75 because 180-60-45=75. then 360-90-45-45-60-75=45=y. Thus X+Y= 75+45=120.

was it the one with the triangle inscribed in a circle???

who tf is pineapple man lmao :))

@DAIMYO‌
how does that mean not vertical lines? two lines can make an x shape, hit eachother in the center, and still be vertical angles?

Top left is equilateral, top right is isoceles, bottom is my attempt at a diamond square

Who here is applying for GMS scholarship???

I think it said same plane, not inscribed, so 6 points of intersection?

Don’t know how to put a picture up here so I’ll explain it as best as I can:
There was an equilateral triangle on the left, a 45-45-90 right triangle on the right, and a square on the bottom. The 45 degree angle is the one facing inwards. Since 180-60-45=75, x (or y i don’t remember which one it was) is equal to 75. And 360-60-45-90-75=90, y + its vertical angle is 90, thus y is 45. 75+45=120, so the answer is 120, if I remember correctly. Can anyone confirm?

Yea it was definitely 120

what was the answer to the shaded circle question? a couple of friends say it wasn’t rad3/rad2

@DAIMYO‌
Picture helped me remember what it looked like, kinda…
did the two triangles meet right at the tippy point of the diamond? I drew it on notebook paper real quick and there is two vertical angles that are obvious, but if there are two then the third pair must also be vertical, yes? Idk, it was a tough one.

It was definitely rad(3) to rad(2)

i don’t know when i just drew it i got 135 but it all depends on what the actual pic looked like

Also, what was the question with the graph that went sharply up and you have to find the x coordinate for where it increases or something? I think it was a fill in. I put 2 but my friend put 2.5

What did you guys put for the astronaut one? Something like the voyage brought the astronaught to the moon, in the voyager 1977, the flight that would lead to future astronauts on the moon or something along those lines. Was it, “a flight that led”?

It was the diagram on the left, as it specified that the line shared by the square and the 90 degree triangle was a line

We should all have been born in germany.

There, tuition for college is nonexistant (or very little compared to the US).

That question involved a piecewise function with 0 to 2 being horizontal, then 2 to 3 being upward slope, then 3 to 5 being horizontal again. You had to find any value of x such that f(x+1) > f(x), which is true if 1 < x < 3, so you and your friend are both right.

@pizzabagel yay! on the last section, do you remember the f(2) vs f(3) question? I got f(3) but some people got f(2).

additionally, if you have the google doc, can you pm or email me a link?
