***Oct 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

@scarlettlovesivy‌ which passage was the “obvious” answer from? I don’t recall this question

@emersonballer21 freeriding and do you remember the exact sentence from the grammar question that was like "upon completion of the meeting, afterwards bob or something like that

I don’t understand why I find the math so easy on practice tests and so hard on the real thing :(

I always skip too many questions on math. BAD IDEA

@scarlettlovesivy‌ wait I still don’t know which passage that answer was from. And I don’t remember the end of that sentence.

@Mystic7‌ when you get to a hard problem think to yourself " what is CB trying to test me on" you will always figure that out which can help u get the answer easier

I’ll try that next time – if there is a next time. I hope not lol

@emersonballer21 it was the passage where it was talking about people basically freeriding it was comparing two passages and alright, do you think I got the first part of the sentence?

@scarlettlovesivy Was that passage experimental? and yeah, the first part of the sentence was something like that. Do you remember for the gymnastics one, did you put an answer like “superior in competition” or something like that?

@Mystic7 are you a senior? and what is your best score?

@emersonballer21 no it wasn’t experimental actually. and yup I put superiority in competition.

@scarlettlovesivy‌ Do you remember any other CR answers??

What do u guys think -3 CR (like raw score not 3 wrong) will be

@emersonballer21 if you tell me a question I can try lol

@scarlettlovesivy‌ lol my problem is that i cant remember anything from the test except like 2 questions haha but if u remind me of the question, ill prob remember the answer that i put

Yep, senior. Current score is 750 writing, 760 CR and 480 math (I know, most embarrassing math score ever). I had a panic attack during the June SAT and skipped like 30 math questions… not even joking. I’m hoping to break 600 in math this time.

@emersonballer21 lol okay here are some answers I put that are being debated: inherently useful, confident and measured, self-effacing, scope of an undertaking, asserting authority

It was definitely self-critical for that question. I put confident and measured, scope of an undertaking, something about playful for the smell guy, and common or whatever for the freeriders. Its so hard to remember cause I took another SAT like 4 days after haha ;p

@castigations do you think it is confident and measured as opposed to genial and ingratiating? I think so honestly and also even though I put scope of an undertaking too, an undertaking is a promise and he isn’t making a promise?? … :/

oh and how was the school day SAT?

I can’t say that my experience with college-board customer service was ideal. I think I called a total of 4 times and got the same unhelpful answer each time. So the question I was asking was about math grid-ins: If an answer is filled in that is 2 or less digits, can it be placed in the middle rather than left aligned or right aligned. For example, (BLANK)(4)(2)(BLANK) rather than (4)(2) (BLANK)(BLANK) or (BLANK)(BLANK)(4)(2). Fairly simple question right? Well I have looked on college board, Princeton review, and other sources, and the answers are at best ambiguous. When I called the college-board service number, they told me to wait for my scores and purchase a 55 dollar score hand identification option to find out. They said it is impossible to determine whether or not that is the correct way to bubble the answer in. I am really agitated by this and would be grateful if anyone here could provide some clarity. Did I screw up my grid-ins (I did this center-aligned thing for pretty much all the 1-2 digit ones) or will the machine pick up on this/ be coded to understand this configuration. Thank you for reading, please provide me with some morsel of hope.
