***Oct 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

I put the digression to give background info one @mystic7

@Mystic7 yeah i remember this one. I put digression into background information. Poignancy means that something sad/negative happened at the car dealership, but i do not remember anywhere in the passage stating that the visit to the dealership was dismal/sad

I put digression too because the author goes off topic for a bit to give background info about the mom and her appearance, I think

And also for that passage there was a question like, "What is the tone of the question in the final paragraph (How long will it take dad?). I put something around that it was a common question that the family asked because i remember her talking about how her family went on these long trips in all these different countries and stuff. Anyone else remember this one?

I either put digression or something about an explanation, but I can’t remember what the rest of the explanation answer was.

I think I put “typical” for that one. Wait, is that a separate question? I don’t remember that question at all if it was not about the little sibling asking how long it would take

@emersonballer21
Yeah, i put common question too!

And anyone remember when the narrator discussed her mother talking in Farsi to other people from Iran even though the mother was from the united states. I put something like “analyze a complex situation”

Yeah one of them was typical question

I put something different for that one @emersonballer21 I think but i cant remember the choices

@Mystic7 @uclabound1 yeah Mystic had it right, it said “typical question” common, typical same thing.

lol I can’t remember these questions or answers at all, aside from that one Sonny question. Really nerve-wrecking.

@DAIMYO i remember all of the answer choices except two of them being absurd. so i limited it down to 2 and the analyze a complex situation one was more broad so i picked it. Had a better chance to be proved by the passage if it is more broad.

@emersonballer21 What were the choices

@Mystic7 yeah i just want these 7 days to zoom by. All i am thinking about is the SAT

@DAIMYO i dont remember the other choices. Just remember i put analyze a complex situation. She was talking about how strange it was to see her American mother speaking Farsi to these people, so it is definitely a complex situation.

anyone here applying early action/decision?

Me, unless I totally messed up on this test. In that case I’ll retake and apply for regular decision.

And yep, all I can think about right now is this forsaken test lmao

@uclabound1 no lol im a sophomore

lol i didnt take the sat until junior year!

So far the ones I got wrong for sure on CR are 1 vocab, 1 from the Iranian passage(about the children)answer was they followed his instructions happily, 2 from the gymnast, how she felt about her coach and what the author thought of her, 1 from the smell passage(first question)it was intro on a playful note and 1 from the poem one(answer was qualify statement, not working definition) At least 6 wrong. Hopefully no more than 10. don’t remember any of my answers on the mutualism one. the 2 small passages I got 3/4. Skipped the questions about extrapolation. So my best score is 6 wrong and 6 skipped. Hopefully it doesn’t go over 10 but we’ll see

@sat2014 no you dont know that those ARE the correct answers. youre just guessing
