***Oct 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

So far I think I missed about two on the reading.

7 more days, i literally cannot wait anymore lol. The days cant go by any slower

yup 1 week. It will go by fast. soon we will be posting our scores on here :)

Guys, if one of the questions on the math portion gets omitted, do you think that the curve will change? I remember the May 2011 test had one question that did not count. There was no save for a 800 though.

If it happens to be that the omitted question is one you got wrong, it will help you. If not then it won’t hurt you.

I put E for that one which I think is right so it won’t affect me. My math score is between a 550-580 depending on the curve. Hopefully 570 :)

hope that questions gets cut
when will we know

Is this everyone’s final SAT? I know it’s my 4th and final time and I don’t think I will be joining anyone on the November test although I do want to find out the difficulty of that test compared to October.

Its my final one

I don’t see the controversy over the average question. I really dont see why people think it should be omitted.

it’s my last one

can we just all say that no matter what happens, life will go on

@scarlettlovesivy‌ They told me that I would get a response in 10 days… so next Monday. BTW, are you applying to Penn?

@dhizzy lol how will it help if they reply the day before scores are out are they gonna readjust if they wanna throw that question out

And yes! Wharton is my dream school i’m doing ED. How about you?

Im eding to penn seas

Alright does this sound like a bad essay. My thesis was that the school setting provides a learning environment that is artificial and insufficient for the implementation of life values. I then did a 2-part experience where I was taught by school how to make friends then learned through observation. I then concluded how the real world experience was better for learning values and skills. It was all personal and very basic… is that bad?

if your examples are almost identical yet you wrote the full 2 pages, you will get an 8(I’m expecting that) if you explained your example and how they pertained to the topic, you should get 10+.

I’m EDing the CAS. Hopefully we’ll all be accepted.

What do you think my essay would score? It was the full 2 pages. I used the argument against schools teaching values and morals because they can only be learned through real world experience (not that I truly agree with it but that’s what my examples supported). I used Einstein’s inability to succeed in the German school system and his ability to become a perfectly moral person and contribute to society, Rockefeller who grew up in poverty and never attended school yet managed to become an extremely successful person by learning social skills and values through experience, and Esther in “The Bell Jar” who is put on the wrong path by the lessons taught in school and ultimately becomes depressed and can’t function in society and tries to commit suicide until being admitted into an asylum where she ultimately recovers.

Mine was basically that one but with one stupid personal example haha. ^ I unfortunately also didn’t talk about morals but just life skills (particularly frienship). But im guessing they dont judge on depth or content but rather writing and argument development? Anyway if anyone could answer that , that would be great. Also @dhizzy yours sounds great really
