Honestly I think you guys will get +10, maybe even 12. My first essay was one page (and my handwriting is really big too) and I literally just rephrased the prompt and made up one crappy example. And I got a 6. You guys are fine.

I NEED at least an 8. 6 days left. :O

“It’s release of. I took a course at MIT over the summer in grammar, it’s not from. And the answer is arbitrary.”
this is from someone on a different post. we won’t know till the score reports are out but just another opinion.

I asked a couple of my friends who typically score very well on writing and have gotten 800s, 780s etc. and they ALL agreed that it should have been no error and that release from was fine. However just another opinion

@Karnier toughest question on the writing test? I still feel release OF is the correct answer but we will see. Never seen this much debate on 1 question

And they’re gonna say it was a level one lol

I’ve seen it used both ways in formal writing and at this point, I don’t even remember what I put. If I got it wrong, I’m confident that it’s the only one I got wrong on writing. Maybe they omit it if they realize that there is no correct answer. It like “a historian” and “an historian”. Both are actually grammatically and idiomatically correct and there is a huge debate going on in the literary community over which is correct.

rarely do they ever omit grammar questions. problem is if FROM works. OF would definately work, FROM not sure about. I’m expecting 3-6 wrong for writing and a 10 essay. probably will be a 650

@Karnier yeah I’ve gotten 800 writing and i think its no error lol. Its so split that theres no way we can know which answer is correct until the scores are out

Also ive used personal examples on both my past essays and gotten 10 both times, u WILL get a 10 if u fill both pages lol… unless ur unlucky i guess

I like to use historical and literary examples on these essays because I absolutely suck at making up compelling BS.

that one question could make or break my score… I’m sorry to the people that picked no error but I hope that I am right :(, anyone actually going to stay up all night for their scores? I probably won’t since I have school.

I will. Do you know if you get to see what the curve was or do you just see your score on the 28th?

@Mystic7 just your scores and essay score

Ugh lol

How long for the detailed score report? Another few weeks? :(

@Mystic7
5-7 days I think. after today the wait will be 5 :P

Countdown Timer: <a href=“Time in New York”>Time in New York;

Yay for EST

I’m just pretending that I got the lowest score possible so I’m not disappointed

5 more days almost!!! The anticipation of getting my scores back is crazy

lol I keep anxiously reliving the test in my head, trying to figure out what questions were wrong.

^^ All the passages I’ve seen so far. Kinda surprised at CB. They often use out of print books, but not this time, I guess…

I feel nervous too.
