@BassGuitar I emailed them a week and a half ago at the request of some people here.

Also remember that curves are literally almost always never predicted correctly lol theres no point in even speculating until we see our scores

@mystic7 what -4 800 curve?

@dhizzy yeah I asked and I wanna say thank you for taking the effort to email them. We never know unless we try. And I agree math we can argue like that but for CR ETS will easily shut us down

The reading was definitely harder than in June due to ambiguity. I would say still a -2 =800 curve probably

I think it was a 2011 test with the -4 800 cr curve

What was the June curve? -2 800? The worst section for me in June was the one about dark matter. I got that section at the end of the test and I actually dozed off for a few minutes while doing it X_X

Same @mystic7 that was so hard and I got it in the end so I was done

-4 800? That’s pretty funny. I don’t thi!k that has ever happened and honestly this CR was easy. People always think CR is subjective. Look at Jan 2013 when -1 was 790. People said it was harder than usual. In general, people tend to think the test they took is harder. In the end, it’s not in our control, but overall, I really thought this was one of the easiest CR sections I’ve seen.

The questions weren’t ambiguous. People are arguing for answers that aren’t supported by the passage. The only hard one was the genial/ingratiating one imo.

@phantom2015

Not disagreeing. I know I’m biased because I want 800 in CR and I might have messed up on a few questions. But I’m not gonna squash all my hope lol

http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf

^ 2011 had a lot of great curves

2 more days. once score report comes out, let’s try to figure out the curve

Ahhhhhg ■■■ I screwed around too much before this SAT and only now has it dawned on me how important this one was lol -_-

If -1 is 790 for CR, I’m gonna cry. Honestly, I did the January 2014 SAT and this CR is definitely on par (not easier I don’t think and some comprehension questions were defs trickier). I got 750 on Jan SAT CR and probs had 2 wrong/1 omit (all vocab haha).

praying CR curve is not harsh, it will break or make me

@Phantom2015 I honestly didn’t think the genial/ingratiating one was that hard. The one I thought was the most difficult was the “Which statement would the author agree with about the gymnast?” question. It was really hard to find evidence to support that.

I think I did better than June test.

genial/ingratiating was definitely the correct answer. For the author agree with about the gymnast question I put something about masking her physical prowess, but now I realize that had no textual support.
I still can’t believe I put self effacing instead of self critical. I changed my answer at the last minute cause I was freakin out! (facepalm)

I put the coach is idealistc and for the smell one assert the authors authority… I want to hit myself in the head with a rock for putting those answers down

I was pretty sure the start of the smelling passage was an attempt to assert the author’s authority… There was nothing humorous about it, and the passage that followed was informative/critical, there would be no point in starting with a humorous intro only to go on to a completely serious body text.

Just out of curiosity, what would -8 CR be?

It was humorous
