He said he was a smell chauvinist. I don’t see how that could be taken literally

Yeah, the beginning of the passage was meant to be humorous/ lighthearted

I think it’s to assert authority also because no reason for humor and I didn’t find it funny

Ehhh chauvinist has a different connotation than what I thought it meant, it’s probably humorous.

Ok yeah so by saying he is EXTREMRELY supportive of smell, he is asserting an air of authority over it

Idk I’ve gone crazy I’ll argue everything it’s prob humorous

like how are YOU gonna tell me whats funny and whats not, Collegeboard? bye

Is anyone staying up to see their scores?

A smell chauvinist doesn’t exist. It’s a witty way of saying that he’s pro-smell. It does nothing to assert authority and is just a humorous way of introducing the passage. Chauvinist is usually used to refer to men who are sexist or conform to the idea that society should be dominated by men. By taking it out of context, the author uses it humorously.

trueeeeee ok thats fine i’ll just take that 400 in CR now

i can’t stay up until 5! i have school and if i do bad i don’t know how i’m even gonna go to school

All I know is I got a 780 and missed 3 (so -4 raw). So it was actually a -3=800 I believe. The dark matter section was experimental, I believe.

lol guys just be glad you didn’t do what I did in math. Got the right answer and then erased it for the fraction question, got the right answer for the semicircle and put wrong answer, got E for the median question and then put D??? I don’t even know what my problem is

The math had weird progression of difficulty, I thought the harder questions were in the middle rather than toward the end

PST here so scores come out at 2AM on Tuesday. I’m definitely staying up.

@scarlettlovesivy What’s done is done. No use in freaking out about it. You probably did better than you think you did.

@Nk1237 How do you know your score?

From june @dhizzy not from october

Oh. Was the June CR harder?

Hmm no I would say it was actually easier because there were definitive answers. This time there were maybe 3-4 questions that had ambiguous interpretations, just based on the passage itself
