***Oct 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

<p>35 i put C something about how they should be cautious. Writing wasn’t that bad. I thought the sentence errors were favorable along with the improving paragraph. the improving sentences were medium or average. think i got 3 of those wrong. total of 5 wrong on writing. no more.</p>

<p>Was the median one less than or equal to 96 or just less than?</p>

<p>it had a equal to for both 6 and 96 which is why i think it is a faulty question tbh, i left it blank</p>

<p>It was m less than or equal to 96 and m greater than or equal to 6. The lowest possible median was 5.5 and the highest possible median was 95.5, so the answer was m less than or equal to 96.</p>

<p>if the greatest median is 95.5 like you said, then how can it be EQUAL to 96</p>

<p>if the m is 96 it would be wrong, if the m was 6 it would be wrong and the other three options were dumb af so like</p>

<p>Lol what. Less than or equal to just means m cant be greater than 96. Since all values of m have to be less than 96 since 95.5 is the max median, thats the right answer</p>

<p>yes it is less than or equal to 96, let’s look at it logically by elimination:</p>

<p>A. MUST be a decimal (ie not an integer)</p>

<p>2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 —> median=11 </p>

<p>WRONG</p>

<p>B. MUST be even or C. MUST be odd</p>

<p>previous proof shows can be odd, if you do it with odd numbers, can be even so both are WRONG</p>

<p>D. MUST be GREATER than 6</p>

<p>1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 —> m=5.5 OBVIOUS wrong answer</p>

<p>E. MUST be LESS than 96</p>

<p>I’m not really sure that it can be equal to 96 but it must be less than 96 for sure (in reality, the question said only integers, so a better answer would be less than or equal to 95.5)</p>

<p>Guys, if enough people complain about the confusing answer choice because it doesn’t really fit (less than or EQUAL to 96) maybe the collegeboard will rescind the question. </p>
