@ephemera @dan213 yeah, I put 14, but it was 28 :(. You can set the middle of the venn diagram to x and then the other parts to 56-x and 46-x. Then you add x to those two and set it equal to 72 and solve for x. If that makes sense… I forgot to add x to those two, so I got 14.

I feel like the 2014 tests are a bit different from the older tests. It seems like the questions are getting easier (especially vocabulary), but the curves are getting worse and worse. Or am I crazy?

I think this one was the worst I’ve taken out of the 14 practice tests I did. Or maybe it was just because it was the real thing…

Yeah, I do SO much better on the practice tests. At this point I don’t think taking any more will benefit me… I only mess up badly during the actual test

@Mystic7 did it FEEL completely different from the practice tests? The questions felt way different and almost alien on the real thing. Idk maybe I’m just too nervous or something.

@icepierre Wasn’t this SAT different from past ones? It seemed like it.

and @icepierre why would you make it 56-x and 46-x?

Yes! that’s EXACTLY what it felt like to me - very alien and… different. Especially the math. I was so nervous that I could barely bubble in the answers at first because my hands were shaking so much. Not sure what we can do except try and relax more, I guess.

I almost envy the people who walked in without a calculator or pencil. I need to be more apathetic about this lol

@ephemera because you have a venn diagram, so the number of people with only cars is the number of people with cars total minus those who have both. The people with only trucks is the same way.

Also, makes sure you have x in the middle representing people who have both.

@icepierre Ahh I remembered a formula for that a while ago but forgot it. I’m absolutely terrible with venns even though they’re really simple.

Ikr?! Math especially was painfully nerve-wracking. I just need to chill out and do what I know I can do.

Does anyone remember the answer choices for the one that was like 10%(x)+15%(y)=25%(x-y) ? I don’t remember what I put but according to the google doc the answer was y=3x/8

Can someone predict my OVERALL Score
Math: Confident 0 wrong
Grammar: 1 wrong, (“from stress or anxiety” I put that as incorrect
but wrote full two pages essay and very deep analysis expecting 11 or 12
Reading: 6 wrong for sure :(

do u guys think that the math section was experimental. also in the writing i had alot of no errors

Yeah, I messed that one up too. I put 8x/3 i think…
unless that was a different one

@icepierre I don’t even remember lol I feel like I put y=0 but that doesn’t make sense and I don’t even remember if that was answer choice.

i legit too a candy rapper and folded it up and poked a hole in it with my pencil

@123gg3 lol. I was looking for something… Came up empty handed. Had to work backward and it took so much time!

What ended up being the answer to that hole one?
