no. but the only ones that made any sense were craft, profession, and commerce.

If the question you are asking about, 1a1, is the one about our brains filling in gaps, I put “inherent desire” or something like that.

He was a businessman, dealing with money and commerce.

How does everybody think the curve will be?

^but you didn’t find that out until like the 5th paragraph. The word appeared in the first paragraph, which means that you shouldn’t have to use info from later in the passage. I say profession.

Trade = commerce. Idk.

It was craft, commerce, exchange, profression…

a man of profession??? how does that make any sense at all

craft…i cud see…

but in that paragraph it was talking about him in commerce…

Ooh, I remember agonizing over that. I don’t know if I put profession or craft.
And people say PSAT curve is generally harsh, but who knows?

Did anybody out here get a perfect on Critical Reading or Writing??

anybody?

A little nicer than the practice test curve for this year.

What was the answer about the “puzzle” of the constellation paragraph.

I hope commerce is right (the old selfish desire), but profession makes sense… A man of profession = a man concerned with his job

doesn’t craft work too?

But a man who’s profession was business/trade and they talked about how he traded money, made sails, etc screams commerce to me. I’m still not 100% sure either way

i’m not sure, but i remember the line saying “his “trade”” for the context question. “His commerce” doesn’t make sense. his craft and his profession make sense kinda. if you look up the definition of craft, it means a special ability, especially a manual one.

I’m curious about the “puzzle” question, too. In the eyes/brain paragraph?

I remember one of the choices was “complexity of the human mind” and I had ruled that out. Anyone else remember further?

What about the question dealing with the “puzzle” of sensing?

I thought it was like, many described him as a man of trade? In which case, man of profession doesn’t really make sense?

I know I had a good reason for going with commerce…?

and nope, no perfect CR or W here… still holding onto my math 80 until I realize what Q’s I missed lol.

was the math question about “how many numbers…” actually 14?

I got sixteen because I added one to fifteen since the numbers can have two sixes in the hundred/tens place

yeah, i got a perfect in writing last year. not going to happen again though…
