October 18 PSAT Discussion

^ I’m thinking around 77, depending on the curve

I had 1250, but then divided by 12, lolz! t=$10,000(.5)^12/4 I did. WHY DID I DIVIDE BY 12???

meadow i have kind of a similar situation, except for CR…in 8th grade i did really well on the SATs but now not so much…i like to think this is because im getting to be a stronger english student, so strong that i see all the nuances and now standardized testing is just silly. ;)

since people said math was easy i’m guessing 76/75

More likely 75.

yeah CR is nothing like a normal English class. Whenever I approach the SAT I never make inferences unlike the way you would normally make in English classes. I take everything literally. The only reason i’m doing better in CR is because I have recently learned how to drag through a boring book/passage.

As for math i’m in AP Calc BC as a sophomore and still don’t score a perfect on the math…go figure.

How did you manage that? My school couldn’t even get me into AB during 11th grade.

sats are silly. the act is even sillier…

I’m in an accelerated program:

Algebra 1 in 7th grade
Algebra 2 in 8th grade
Geometry in 9th grade
Took Precalc over the summer
And now I’m taking AP Calc BC

but that obviously doesn’t help in the PSAT :(

75…? damn you green cube.

I feel even stupider. I actually got the question about the president club but changed it form 9 years to 10 or subtracted 1 instead of adding 1…

For the green cubes question on Math wat were the choices of 1,2, and 3

one of them was if it’s not a cube then it is not green

one was if it’s green then it’s a cube

one was…

which one was 1…which one was 2…which one was 3?

I think one was if its green its cube
Two was if it is not green it is not a cube
Three was if its not a cube it is not green

I’m not completely sure though…

hey!! CB rounds down…like if you get two questions wrong, they only give you -2…im looking at my last years score report…nice

That #2 can’t be right. A cube is green was the original statement.

^^that’s because your raw score rounds up You don’t think they would defy the rules of rounding now would you…? ;)

does anybody Know if wat meadow said is correct

i agree with him on statement 1?

anybody else?

does anybody knoww if wat meadow said is correct

i agree with him on statement 1?

anybody else?

hmmm? im afraid i dont get this AP Calc BC soph logic…from my understanding you get .25 for each incorrect answer, 2 incorrect means .5, so thats -1 in addition to -2?

edit- nvm. ha

it’s her…Ahem :)
