October 2006 - SAT Math Thread

it is for a brown kid… i will be execute :P

a 160 is really bad.

There better be a good curve for math, because I have missed 3 so far. :frowning:
Why is the M curve so harsh while the CR and W curves are so generous?
Come on, you can still score an 800 in the W section with a 9 essay!
What happened to the essay being 30% of the W score?

i got 730 in June (3 wrong)

bah i might consider cancelling my scores, and retaking in november.

I seriously think 25 was the answer since it said different designs and NOT different colors.

yeah ive missed 1 for sure… i dont know about the perimeter of the triangle problem …
it cant be 25… it has been explained time and time again its 20

I hope I even get a 700…:frowning: I think i’m mid 600’s now. And all that studying for nothing. I did 45 math section tests (all BB and all online tests) I got a 680 last June and probably did worse this time. :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: Feels like I’ve wasted my time.

haha., don’t sweat it.

personally, if i was an adcom, i would look at 750-790 (720-74o aint so bad either, and 800 has the WOW factor) almost the same. so what? doesn’t matter. you tripped on a few, or you guessed luckily on some others. if you get above 750 youre abviously a high caliber test taker. bring on the essays.

I hazard a guess that math would be a little more lenient on the curve… i’ve never seen these types of problems on any of the blue book tests; they just required a little more time which was unusual

beehive question?

Well, it’s official… I bombed math…

I need anything over 750 and I’m set. I just hope I didn’t mess up any dumb things

yeah SAT math this time, was very Strange.

soo many random questions

Yeah, I’m kinda over it, I have a bunch of homework to catch up with.

I know it’s been explained. But someone needs to clarify if it said different colors or different designs. I only read “different” once in the problem and it was before desigs.

Therefore, if it said different designs, 25 IS the answer. It never said different colors. Does anyone remember the exact problem. 20 is too easy for #14 out of 16.

I just hope I score over a 700 :frowning: I thought the math was soo easy but afer coming on here…I feel horrible.
2 omit and 2 wrong. I don’t know!

Answer to beehive q was b (30)

man last time i missed like however many math problems and got a 700, and brought my scores down 90 points… or else i would have had a decent score(2060) which would have been good enough… but the stupid june math was stupid curve

beehive was easy with a ti-83… if you didnt want to use math lol

What does CollegeBoard mean when they say that we cannot discuss the test?

can anyone explain to me why Daria is correct…i said it could not be determined because i thought Daria or steph could be the oldest
