nope it just said 21 read something, 24 read the other… 50 teachers in all and 12 read neither. lol should be a simple question but it kinda stumped me so iono.

I got 9540.

Another problem:

x+y+z=36 (obviously)
x+y-z= 4 or 8?

I filled in a, which was 4…

The teacher one said…
50 teachers
12 dont read newspapers
__ read newspaper a and __ read newspaper B

the answer was 7

edit: what i did was
50 - 12 that dont read = 38
24 + 21 = 45
45-38 = 7.
can’t explain it but it works. :)

i did not get that question at all. but i did have an experimental math section (i had 4). is that possible?

azsxdc i got that

*i didn’t have that question on my test. sorry, that was unclear.

YEA!!! (10 char)

for the baseball with 2 color design

i first put 20
but i reread the questioned and pondered
and it said that 2 DIFFERENT colors were one design
so even if the middle was red, lets say, and the sides were blue, wouldnt that be the same as if the middle was blue and the sides were red?

so i ended up putting 10…
or was i thinking too much? i always do that
i hate it.

=[ mofos sat ruins lives…

i put 10. im still think its 10, too, despite what everyone keeps saying.

heh im pretty sure that would be 2 different designs.

i put 20…

i got ten for the ball question too

You have 5 colors and you must figure out how many combinations of two different colors there are.

12 23 34 45
13 24 35
14 25
15

4+3+2+1 = 10

right?

yes, they didn’t ask for designs, they asked how many color combos there can be. 5c2=10. thats what i thought, anyway.

but blue and red & red and blue are different. I think its a permutation question

There were two different colors and you had 5 to choose from.

5 possiblities for the first color leaving 4 for the second

5*4=20

my logic anyways

yes 5x4 = 20 that was my logic.

can we establish that it is 20 for that question? vote A for 20 and B for 10

mine too, i got 20

its definitely 10 because it was a combonation question, how many different color schemes…which is a combonation of colors
nCr

10 it is

i did a combination because it asked for the number of color combinations, in which case red and blue would be the same as blue and red. that made the answer 10. i think its all in the way you interpret it.
