October 2010 - Math II

<p>Koharvard I got 10.8. Ehhrmm lemme think, I drew a right triangle with a height of 10, and then the angle across from that as 70 (or whatever it was, I think 70). Then I did sin90/x = sin70/10. It came out to 10.6something which was 10ft 8in.</p>

<p>thank you sooo much rebecca, confirmed me the ladderQQ!!!
do you emeber the distance and time question? or would you please able to tell mehow you did it? :3</p>

<p>Can I still get an 800 with 2 omits and 3 wrong? At least I think I got 3 wrong based on looking over all the pages on this thread.</p>

<p>Edit:
Actually, 4 wrong most likely, based solely on answers from here. Possibly 5 =(</p>

<p>But then again, there is some debate over the answers I think I got wrong, and I’m pretty sure 1 or 2 of the answers other people are getting different from me are not right. Is a 790 that much worse to colleges?</p>

<p>anyone willing to make a compiled list? :D</p>

<p>For the k(k-4)=3t question, I remember it as being k(k+4)=3t. I don’t think it makes a difference however.</p>

<p>t=-4/3
3 items = $11.42
unit circle .93
c + 2
f(5) = 24
92 dots
0.83 power of 7 = 5
14/36 for the dice
24 years for compounded annually
symmetrical about y=x
two circles made from points from plane and perpendicular line
|b-c| - |c-b| = 0
points P & S were part of the y=-3x/5 line (2nd and 4th quadrant)
-3/sqr(13) for the sin(theta) question
ladder 10 ft 8 inches
probably of 1 through 4/3 was 8/11
2^33 bits in a gigabyte
perimeter of rectangle inside cube was 89
area of triangle 13.5
60 heartbeats in a minute
|x|(1 + m^2)^0.5
perpendicular slope |a+b| had to be 4
y=sqr(x) with the parametric equations x=t^2 and y=t</p>

<p>how is the heartbeat one 60? i thought it was 120</p>

<p>The period of the sine function was 1 second (2pi/2pi). They said that there was one heartbeat per period. That means 1 heartbeat per second, or 60 heartbeats per minute.</p>

I & III for both mean and standard deviation different (range the same)</p>

<p>wow i misread that standard deviation/range/mean question cause i was in a rush…</p>

<p>Maybe I misread it.</p>

<p>no you’re probably right. i was in a rush.</p>

<p>Can you remember any other question? I want to make the list 25/50. :D</p>

graph question w/ c-f(x), answer was C, flipped over x-axis and translated up
2 different driving speeds: 5.7 s difference
vertical asymptote at x=4/3 (denominator was 3x-4)</p>

<p>Unless I was hallucinating, I’m pretty sure the mean/standard deviation/range question asked for the two qualities that were the SAME.</p>

<p>Also, ~.64 for the second to last question.</p>

<p>What would 2 omits and 1 wrong be?</p>

<p>1.slop of perpendicular line. It was 5/3 or something like that.
2.the line passed through point p and s
3.
4.
5.power of 7 to get to five. Log(5)/log(7)
6.
7.midpoint question. It was somewhere around (7,3)
8. if 5^(xy) which must be true. Forgot what I put
9.
10. The similar triangle question. This one was pretty straightforward.
11.if x and y are positive integers, x^3-y^3 is less then zero
12.
13.
14.the ladder question. Forgot the answer. Think it was 10.8
15.
16. The dots in the figure. It was 92
17.
18.x=t^2 and y=t. think the answer was y=x^(1/2)
19.[b-c]-[c-b]=0
20.the sin question. It was -3/13^(1/2)
21.
22.one about what the distance z represents. I think it was |x|(1 + m^2)^0.5
23.the question asking for one real solution. Complete the square and it was something like -4/3
24.the equation that did not have a period of the 2pi. It was the one that that had a 4 next to sine.
25.
26.the sandwich juice and ice cream one. It was 11.42
27.the 2,3,4,5 digit question with an odd at the end. It was 12.
28.
29.f(x)=f’(x) are symmetric about what. It was the line y=x
30.
31.area of the triangle formed by the two lines. It was 13.5
32. F(x) = 120 + 25sin(2piX) for -1 < x < 1. Forgot the answer

<p>bmnvcd, i believe that is an 800</p>

<p>“Unless I was hallucinating, I’m pretty sure the mean/standard deviation/range question asked for the two qualities that were the SAME.”</p>

<p>YOU’RE RIGHT! It was the range and the standard deviation are the same, and the mean was different. Whatever answer choice that was.</p>

<ol>
<li>wasnt it -2/sqrt13</li>
</ol>

<p>wasnt 46 just c</p>
