@kmcfadden99 i always score 760+ on cb practice tests but keep getting below a 700 on actual ones is there any particular way you aced the reading comprehension?
2300: 800 M, 800 W, 700 R. Not good enough for 7 year med unfortunately
I think the combined CR + M score is certainly good enough to get you into an accelerated Pre-Med Program, as long as your GPA and ECs are equally impressive! Congratulations, and be proud of yourself for your remarkable accomplishment!
@donaldtrumped: I also got a 2250, and I plan to retake in December for a 2300+. If you know you can do it, go for it. Was a 9 essay and 80/80 on the multiple choice an 800?
CR 730 math770 WR710 with 76/80 essay7=2210. Math2 800 chem800, will take history in May. UW gpa 4.0, couple of state level winner and one of national level winner in science competetion. How am I doing for a top science colleges? Is my sat score too low that I better retake? I’m a junior and it was my 1st sat. Please advise.
I got a 2100.
CR: 720 Math: 680 Writing: 700 (65 mc, 11 e)
Not gonna lie, pretty bummed. My overall SAT goal is to be 2250+ at the very least (high 22s/23 would be amazing). For this first test in October, I was hoping for high 21s, and after much discussion with friends, as well as prowling this very forum, I was expecting mid 21s (2140-2160 range, maybe a tad lower). On my last 3 practice tests before the October SAT, I got 2160, 2160, 2140, so this score was no doubt a disappointment. I was constantly getting 740s in CR, 700s in Math, and 710-730 in Writing. In addition, a good amount of my friends beat me, even though I consistently had higher practice test scores than them, despite their taking of a class and my somewhat lax self-study approach.
I didn’t make this post to whine or complain, as I am now undoubtedly resolute and determined now to give the January test my full attention and effort (not that I wasn’t before lol I just am even more now). I just felt like sharing my feelings as many of you have, and I wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing anything similar. Best of luck to those of you taking any of the last three offered dates, may we all achieve the scores we wish to.
i didnt get an 11 on my essay, but i did get a 76/80. I got an 8 on the essay and got 730. Every essay point increases your score by ten more points so im assuming you got a 760?
no; 11essay +76/80=800wr this time
OMG thats so annoying i could have gotten an 800 if my essay was higher!!! ugh
i feel like everyone on here got amazing scores lol
Bigsurview:
I’m in the same boat. As a junior, I just took the SATs for the first time in October and not only did not reach my goal (I didn’t think I would the first time), but scored below what I was consistently getting on practice tests. I was planning to take both the December and January tests. With superscoring allowed for most of the schools I was looking into, I didn’t see the harm. Just curious but why do you think it will look bad? The advice I had been given was to take it no more than 3 times. The old one isn’t offered after January anyway. Does anyone else have any thoughts on taking it 3 times? Obviously I’d love to be done after the December one, but that’s only 5 weeks away.
I got a 700 in CR and I didn’t omit any, according to the curve, how many do you guys think i missed?
@zitherplayer I’m wondering the same thing.
6 to 8 wrong=700
Are any of your guys orders for the free score reports pending? I feel like my scores should have been sent by now.
@HonoredStudent Mine are pending as well.
Yeah when do you think collegeboard will send those scores? I’m hoping that they send them soon.
aww I blew my last chance to not feel bad after looking at all your high scores. i got 670cr/770m/650wfor composite 2090.
Score Reports are out. Three wrong answers and a 9 essay garnered a score of 690?! That is absurd.
Hahaha when four wrong on the math is equivalent to a 690…
