October 22 2011 ACT Essay Discush

Credit cards and whatever else the other essay topic(s?) was/were

i thought i did well…
wrote five paragraphs this time at least… haha!

I had the credit card one too. I took the opposition side. My essay we ok, predicting a 9 or 10, definitely not my best work. At the very end I was on my last sentence and my proctor called time when I was 3 words from finishing my essay. Since I didn’t completely finish my essay, yet all my ideas were expressed, will my score be negatively affected?

I think I scored around 11-12 on this one.
I had a lot to say about this topic …

I got a 9 on the last one and I think I’ll get about that this time, too…I was against it. I only had 2 body paragraphs, though. It’s so hard for me to write 3 body paragraphs in the short time we have.

I felt like I rambled a bit too much, but I did fill up two pages. I took the opposition side as well, but I don’t think my arguments were strong enough.

My last essay was an 8 and only had an intro and 2 body paragraph, a little over 2 pages. This time I wrote a intro, 3 body (two reasons and counter argument), and conclusion. I’m certain I will get a 9 or a 10 on this.

I had the credit card prompt, too. I took the opposing side, wrote 5 paragraphs, and even had time to double check for careless spelling and grammatical errors. My essay was almost 2 pages long. I followed the structure that the Princeton Review recommended, and I think I made some good points, so I’m hoping for a 10-12 :)

I took the pro side for this essay, wrote a four paragraph essay and refuted counterarguments. I think it wasn’t too bad, actually. Hopefully at least a 10… we’ll see ;)

I wrote and intro and a conclusion and just one huge body paragraph with an amazing argument. Is that bad? What score should I expect?

Does anybody have the percentages for essay scores? Like what percent of people get a 10, 11, 12, etc.

i didnt have the credit card essay. what was the question?

There are percentile on the ACT website:
