October 4 SAT Critical Reading

The second passage mocked the people that go to Stratford and know nothing about him. It didn’t mock Shakespeare.

Deadmonkey, you’re not putting anything to rest. It’s already been settled, industry is the best answer. Perhaps you should get some rest? Do you even know what an industry is?

what would a -5 be>?

The industry answer would have been fine if not for the qualifier at the end “based on his life and works.”

The industries in P2 are based on his image, not his works. The author addresses this at the very end.

az1698 about 700

The answer did not specify, it just said he was part of thriving industry. Again, get some rest.

Btw heaven, -5 CR has never and prob never will be 700. -5 in may was like 760 pr 750. Lowest for -5 is prob 730-40.

I don’t even remember what I put for the industry vs. genius question.

Does anyone remember what it actually asked?

lol maybe your both wrong

and it was instead it was the choice that went along the lines of “little is known about Shakespeare’s life”

The industries in P2 are based on his image, not his works. The author addresses this at the very end.

The industry is based on his life. He was a literary master, and although many people don’t even read his works, an industry thrives on his life.

Whatever, lets just wait til the 23rd and we’ll see whose right.

Btw heaven, -5 CR has never and prob never will be 700. -5 in may was like 760 pr 750. Lowest for -5 is prob 730-40.

Why can’t the math/writing curve be this generous? :(

Zenbadabing, that is incorrect. The answer choice was, verbatim: “A thriving industry based on his life and works.”

Additionally, P2 offers nothing that supports the industries are “thriving”

Right - I got 5 wrong last time and got 730

Alright, sounds good.

Anyway. ^^ I am done with this thread. I think I’ll just wait til the 23rd.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Ok im out.

Does anyone remember what the question was? That would be helpful

there was a question on the china mom passage that asked what the first sentence of the third paragraph did…what was the answer?

one of the answer choices talked about contrast and another said to show a central idea would later be developed

The “But” question was contrst

The third paragraph question was “something to be developed later”

the guilds were practical. regressing makes sense but it specifically says they were practical in the passage
