@joon9823 : Are you sure you are right ? If you’re right, I see I was wrong in a lot of questions ! So nervous !

hmm well most of them are compiled from this discussion

some of them are also from my memory, so I cannot assure u that these are 100% correct

you guys can make changes, add on to it and just re-post the compiled list

Does anyone have statistics on the June 08 compilation, and how many we guessed wrong on that one?

I dont know about June, but I remember on May I thought I had gotten 7 wrong based on the CC discussion. I ended up getting 8 wrong.

Hey can anyone tell me why the insect vocab question was register and environment rather than observe and population?

^ I think it’s been determined that it was register the environment… but I ended up putting down observe the population after I had changed it back and forth a couple of times.

I think both could be correct, but register the environment one is apparently more correct. :/

Yea i thought about register but it said that the insect communities were a barometer so couldn’t you get a good idea about the ecology of an area by observing a population because the sentence already said that the communities were barometers, indicating that they are representative of a certain areas? lol idk it doesn’t really matter that much anyway, I just that the environment one was too broad or something

hey guys we yet havnt discussed about the art science passage.do u remember any questions on that??i think that once we find the answers on that one we will be almost finished

its register environment becaue the scientist wanted to learn about the area the ecosystems, not the insects.

^ But it’s the insects that provide the information, not the environment. Right? I dunno. I really think that one could have gone either way… I just thought that studying their environment would be a little to broad, but we’ll see.

About the cars passage: Was the guy’s attitude shame or disdain towards the “deference”?

I couldn’t decide but I went with shame as he didn’t seem arrogant.

For the environment question, search up the definition of barometer and you’ll understand why it is register.

I can say with near certainty that the answer to the insect question was register/environment.

Is it certain that the one answer to the shakespeare one about the last sentence was derisive.

I know alot of people including myself wrote down humorous.

can anyone explain thoroughly why the answer to the “pipe” passage question where it asked:

why did the author list extraterrestials, ESP theory, flat-earth theory, etc? what purpose?

i put “to disparage individual reality” but some people are getting “to list extreme views.” what the heck?

answer is extreme views. He wasn’t disparaging anything, he was simply giving examples of extreme theories that shouldn’t be given equal weight.

the author was saying that we should believe everything and let our mind free, unless its something as silly as aliens, flat earth theory, etc.

aka extreme views.

does anyone remember the context of the sentence for the resist…recognize SC.

oh. i thought he was saying that in order to disparage (or belittle) their individual realities because they held those views. i didn’t think they were extreme.

Yeah can someone provide us with some context for the resisst…recgnize SC? i dont remmber that
