you should look up the definition of inscrutable.

[inscrutable - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary](http://aolsvc.merriam-webster.aol.com/dictionary/inscrutable)

Exhaustive is a better word than edifying, but I didn’t (and still don’t) think inscrutable fit at all.

Inscrutable doesn’t fit at all, which is why it’s completely wrong no matter what the second part of the answer choice is.

@heaven - a derisive comment is not only mocking but contemptuous. i thought
the comment was more on the playful side than the seriously insulting side.

zen…

inscrutable would not work at all.

its pedestrian and edifying.

Okay.

10 char.

Inscrutable would not WORK AT ALL? And edifying does? Lol. Whatever.

I guess we’ll see Choklit. To me it seemed a little more than playful

10 char?

…

the minimun requirement for a post is 10 characters.
When there are less than 10 characters, just type some random text.
like

arnba’rnb’reban’lrb

to make it 10+ chars :P

wow…this is the biggest SAT thread i have seen in like a year
this thing is HUGE!!

If you cut all the spam, it wouldn’t be that big lol

oh yeah i put humourous. i didnt really think it was that but by process of elimination…

Zen- do you really think conventional writing is inscrutable? You must have a lot of trouble reading :p

Careless mistakes happen to the best of us.

What were the full answer choices for derisive vs. humorous. The answer is obviously not clear based on just those words.

i put humorous. and i think thats right. but idk for sure.

I can’t remember exactly but there was a question on a previous QAS thats very similar to the pedestrian Q. It went like Her books were traditional, even ____, and the answer was inscrutable. That’s what threw me off on this question. Traditional writing can be hard to understand, everyone knows that. I still don’t see how edifying means comprehensive.

I’m pretty sure the choices were all just a single word.

perhaps the answer wasn’t meant to be comprehensive but simply that it teaches.

The way I saw it:

Exhaustive > Edifying
Pedestrian > Inscrutable
Edifying > Inscrutable

Conventional and inscrutable just don’t match.

Well considering that traditional =/= conventional…
