October Mathematics 1 Discussion

How do you think you did?

Here is the conversion table in the College Board’s official study guide:

Raw Score | Scaled Score

…50…800
…49…800
…48…790
…47…780
…46…770
…45…760
…44…750
…43…740
…42…730
…41…720
…40…720
…39…710
…38…700
…37…690
…36…680
…35…670
…34…660
…33…650
…32…640
…31…630
…30…620
…29…610
…28…600

I got all the Algebras correct, but I think I got about 15 wrong.

I think I took a different test then most people, but there were only two I omitted and was uncomfortable with. One was an area of a trapezoid on a plane with only points, where I couldn’t figure out the height, and the other was length of an arc, which I plain forgot.

I thought the curve was 49 790 ??

What questions were confusing/hard? I can’t remember too much so refresh me please.

What about that one about the 10 lines? How many intersections? I was confused as hell. And the one with the box and the balls with r=1. Probably really easy ones that I just thought to hard on.

10 lines: 45 (the question is just asking how many points are there, the wording is **** though)

Balls: 4. Use the radius to visualize it.

umm, what other questions were difficult. what about that one with the system of eqtns, and exactly 1 solution.

do u guys remember if that one with the 10 lines was question 49 or 50 by any chance. i just want to know this because i dont remember that question at all, but i did skip 49 and 50.

the one with the cross arranged in boxes with the nine numbers

anything about the one with m and the coordinates? what did u guys say for that one?

i believe the one with 10 lines was question 49. looks like you are off the hook.

ah, sounds good. do u remember the one with m and the coordinates, it was question 48 if you remember the numbers.

The answer to the problem with the cross and the set of numbers was 7.
Since the vertical sum as well as the horizontal sum had to be an odd number, and 7 was the only odd number in the set, 7 would have to be in the middle to make both the horizontal sum as well as the vertical sum equal 43.

the 10 lines question is #50.

think of some more questions people.

the one with the m coordinates and finding the slope that included the given coordinates. question number 48. answers were something like, .53, .46, 1, etc

i think the answer was… 0.46?

how do you figure out the answer to the box one, where they add up to 43?

whats the box question?
