Octuplets' mom already has 6 young kids at home.

lje62, well for her specifically, I think she has her name and picture of herself in the media. I guess the fertility specialist would need to be living in a under a petri dish not to know who she is at this point!

I guess the doc that is being investigated by the board is regretting his decision…another persons life disrupted because of her warped need. However, my pity for him is very very little. I can’t really understand if the ethical guidelines are to implant 1 or 2 why he implanted 6.

Well, holding them when they’re premies or one year old or even two years old is great. But what will she do with eight 12-year-olds? Hold them too? What about eight 16-year-olds? Will she hold them, or will she help them with their homework and their relationships? I mean, la de da, holding them is lovely, but that ain’t gonna put food on the table or maturity in their souls.

VeryHappy, when I was little, we had a female cat who was a wonderful mother. She had two to three litters of kittens per year (yeah, we lived on a farm), and she fed, licked and protected her newborns all day long, but as soon as they were able to feed on their own, she’d lose interest in them and begin her quest for a new litter. I suspect this woman’s disorder makes her “crave” babies who can be held and “loved”, but older kids might not be as attractive to her.

I hope the doctor will be found and suspended from practicing reproductive medicine. S/he can’t hide under that petri dish forever!

I keep going back to the fact that she started trying to get pregnant at 18…than when I can wrap my head around that, I think about the fact that she used her disability money to do IVF…after I get passed that I need to understand how she could move in with her 6 kids into her mothers 1500 sqft 3 bdrm home, knowing that Mom is filing Bankruptcy…I get passed that and hear that Grandpa acknowledges he is working in IRAQ to financially support her and her children, while she gets disability pay and elects to do more IVF…I get passed that and then she slams the people helping her by saying she came from a dysfunctional family and its their fault…I can’t get around that, but I think my favorites showing her stupidity, immaturity, narcisstic behavior are:

1.“being betrayed poorly because she is single and unconventional”…SORRY SWEETIE, we think you are a crappy mother b/c you elected to do this instead of using your college degree and placing attention to your 7 yr old son with Autism and the other 6.
2. “Never have been on welfare”: Might be true, but Dear Old Dad is risking his life t financially support you and Mom let you move back in…to me that is a form of financial support. You also lost your home and were forced to move in with your folks…were you paying the doc for the IVF instead of the rent
3. I have my parents and my church…Yeah and you just slammed them for raising you in a dysfunctional way
4. Going to get my Masters and support them…why didn’t you go to work after you got your grad…oh that’s right you needed to get pregnant again.

I can go on and on with my list. I had a client(I am a realtor) yesterday who fell apart in tears because her DD lost their (She is married) baby at 28 weeks, it was heartbreaking for the family, and now she is having problems getting pregnant again which makes it twice as painful. SO for them to hear about this situation their blood boils. I didn’t bring it up, b/c I knew of the situation, but they needed to release their emotions.

If she thinks people will have pity or support she must be on drugs too. I don’t know 1 person in this nation that has any empathy for her. Gerber, Pampers, Huggies, State Colleges, TV networks, heck even STAR magazine gets the fact that she is persona(mom)non grata

I also hope the doc loses their license for 2 reasons

 1. This will not occur again…they did it for the almighty dollar or b/c of incompetence
 2. MY PERSONAL FAVORITE: He loses his/her license she can’t sue him for malpractice, so when she gets no money from the media/publishing and decides she will go after him, she can’t get a dime if his/her business is closed. She stated she wasn’t worried about finance and she just wanted to love them…let’s see how you are a selfless Mom when you aren’t getting any money.

I don’t want anyone to read into that I want these children to penalized…I am hoping and have enough faith that the govt is going to step in and remove them. Not to be rude or uncaring, but none of the 8 know that they are siblings. I would rather see them be placed into special needs foster care or adoption and give a fighting chance for a good life. I am sure DYFS is inundated with emails from people who are willing to do this.

NEXT WEEKS NEWS CYCLE CALIFORNIA DYFS INVESTIGATES OCTUPLETS’ MOM FOR SOUND FAMILY LIFE/ENVIRONMENT…WILL THEY COME HOME TO HER?

And as I look at her quote “Everything I do, I’ll stop my life for them and be present with them.” I guess she is referring to her latest 8?
She certainly isn’t stopping her life for the first 6! She continues make litters. She continues to have more more more which makes less less less for the first 6.

I would be interested to know what the ethical guidelines are in how many embryos to implant. I have read some material–and have seen no number greater than 4 mentioned.

young…yes where was she for the 1st born that is autistic…I am sure the diagnose came before the last one (2yrs old) or before the IVF for the octuplets.

Thats the thing she believes we are as ignorant, idiotic, selfish and narcisstic as her.

I read the 4 also, but she acknowledges that 6 were implanted and she had no intention of ever doing selective because they were her babies. If you loved those embryos as much as your baby, you would never risk their life, that is exactly what she did. She intentionally for selfish reasons risked each childs life…for what… 1 more daughter. What normal, rationale parent has a child for their sex (except China)

She also acknowledged that she was intending to have 1…well if you saw each as a baby, than how do you come to terms with not doing 1 at a time…afterall that embryo was your baby. Goose meet gander…Gander meet goose. You can’t say that you are there to stop your life and the embryos are babies, but risk them. One or the other. SHe obviously saw them as embryos and not babies if she had done this multiple times and only resulted in a single birth.

I just heard another update to this story. Again, I heard on Fox News that the doctor is being investigated, but his/her name is not being released to the public. Additionally, they reported that the mother continued to have children despite having been diagnosed with: paranoia, depression, and post traumatic stress syndrome. They did not elaborate further.

Molly Yong-Fast is the daughter of Erica Jong, an exhibitionist of the first order who included such info as detailed descriptions of Molly’s father’s genitalia in one of her books…a father who eventually had to sue Jong to attempt to prevent her from placing Molly Jong-Fast’s picture on the cover of her [let’s exploit my] divorce book for kids.

One would think she might have learned something…

I was also amused by this statement from one of Suleman’s publicists:

The man is A PUBLICIST!!

there was a picture of Angelina Jolie on msn today that looked remarkable similar to the mom of 14…somehow, I don’t think that is a coincidence. I think she spent some of her lawsuit money trying to look like Jolie…her lips, her hair, her nose…I see a wanna be starlet
I sincerely hope the children are placed in more suitable homes and this woman gets the professional help she needs

I heard someone else point out that this monster has some sort of real fascination with Angelina Jolie. Take a healthy dose of narcissism, add unfettered reproductive technology and the cult of celebrity and you get this “perfect storm.” This story just gets sicker and sicker.

I saw the pic of Angelina Jolie and her this morning, she has done her face to look like her…all she need were the fake eyelashes and maybe she could get a job as her double!

So, in my very best California valley girl accent:

Um, yeah, except first, I’m going to go back to school for my masters, and then I’ll stop my life for them. Oh, but first, I’m going to get like, a really great job, because I’ll have my masters, and then I’ll totally stop my life for them. Cause, like, I’m a really unselfish person, you know?

Is anyone curious as to how she could have received $165,000 in disability payments for an injured back, yet could still deliver 14 children? Or were her payments before the children and her back miraculously cured before she started delivering these babies? Someone needs to investigate this possibility as well…

She started having the children via in vitro fertilization after she was receiving disability payments (1999). She is rotten and mental.

All I keep thinking of right now is that, Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should do it.

Our DD always Tivos SNL, last night they had Nancy Pelosi being impersonated talking about the stimulus, but she also slammed the Mom, something along the lines we need more money because certain stupid people out there can’t stop having babies that we need to pay for

This might not be a “popular” sentiment, because most people do not want to think badly of physicians. I see mom as being mentally ill, but I see the doctor who implanted the embryos as the bad person in this story. I also see the mom as one who knows and wants to play “the system” though, and one who also knows how to play her parents (who were somewhat willing to go along with her plans) too.

^ I agree. No accounting for nutbars, but surely we can expect more from a professional.

Is it possible she went to two different doctors, and got each to do 3 implants? Is that a medical possibility at all?
