Northstarmom; I was not able to find a link, either written or video, where this is said. I looked all over. But I was able to tell from one of the video clips on Dr. Phil’s site (the one where he meets the babies) that one of the babies has a slight cleft in the upper lip. By far not one of the worst cleft lips I had seen and I doubt there is much if any ridge involvement.

I just saw Octomom on ET with the babies; I did not notice one with a clef lip, but maybe from the angle they showed it wasn’t noticeable.

What I did notice is the lack of artificial nails; they are gone. I am guessing someone told her to have them removed and she actually listened.

^Change I can believe in!

When I was looking on the web in response to the request to find something about the babies cleft lip, I found a comment (it was on a blog so can’t link it) that said when she was on the Dr. Phil show last week she was wearing $195 Tory Burch Reva ballet flats. Here’s an example of them from Bloomies http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=82712&CategoryID=1599&PageID=1599*1*24*-1*-1*-1*20. I suppose it’s possible they came from the wardrobe dept, but it’s equally possible she’s still shopping us a storm.

^^^ Oops typo-- I meant shopping *up a storm

*** update-- Another blog I stumbled into said the blue and white top she was wearing (and there is a photo of her outside by a car leaving the show wearing this stuff, so it probably isnt provided by Dr. Phil’s wardrobe dept) cost $228 and her lip gloss cost $14. Keep those donations coming in-- she needs the money.
BTW the photos can be seen on the tmz website.

They’re reporting on tmz.com that Nadya recently spent over $1,000 on her visit to the MAC cosmetic store! I guess we see where her priorities are for the money she’s receiving.

Now see, I feel for the children, but I would NEVER think of donating to this woman! Is someone making sure the money donated goes to the care of the children, not mom?

I know I look at this woman with a very critical eye. While I watched her on ET last night petting the babies and giving each a kiss on the head or cheek, I felt it was forced or just for the camera. She did comment that it just hit her how much it was going to cost to raise the 8.

They also showed a walk through of the house with social services and what improvement needed to be made to the house before the kids could come home. The inside stair railings need to be replaced as they are too wide apart, and the banister at the top needs work as a child can climb over it. I believe she said the babies would be downstairs and her room was upstairs. Once the nannies leave, she is going to be doing a lot of walking up and down the stairs for feeds and what not. I personally liked having my kids in the next room so I could attended to them at night. I worry if the other kids are jealous; how is she going to keep and eye on all of them and make sure one of the older kids does not hurt the babies?

I think I would have purchased a one story house with 14 small children, but then again, I think like a normal person!

jym626, as a CA taxpayer, I would say you were right the first time.

In other words, you wouldn’t have had 14 children!

$1000 in MAC cosmetics. On one trip. OMG. I have two teens, one of whom used to dance (ballet) and needed good stage makeup. Between the three of us, we have never spent $1000 on Mac cosmetics IN OUR LIFETIME. I am guessing we have not spent $1000 total for the three of us on all makeup in our lifetimes. You have GOT to be kidding me.

Maybe that where she was when the social workers were at the house the first time wondering why she was not present. This is still a runaway train, or worse, a plane on autopilot with the crew and passengers all unconscious. The end result is going to be a disaster.

2 babies coming home on Monday?

I think the discharge was delayed pending completed projects at the new house.

Will some agency please do the right thing and separate this woman from those babies???

Before a tragedy strikes, not after.

To answer the question asked a few pages ago, about how did the parents of multiples handling the sleeping situation when the babies first came home. When I first had all 3 babies brought to me after they were born, they had them all in one isolette:) It was so cute, but obviously they each had their own while in the hospital. They each had their own cribs to come home to…I came home with 2 first, baby C had to stay in the hospital until he was 5 lbs. So the first time they went into their cribs they cried and cried and cried, lol. I was ferklempt!! New mom, exhausted and nervous…so, I put them in the same crib…they calmed right down. There is definitely something to the statement that they were in utero for 8 1/2 months, I guess they needed the warmth of each others bodies. I fell asleep in the chair by the crib, and woke to see them with each others thumbs in the wrong mouth, lol. When their little brother came home, I put him in the middle of his bro and sis…and within minutes they were all curled up together:). That didn’t last very long…maybe 3 - 4 weeks, and I gradually began to put them in their own cribs…I sucked it up and let them cry (a little bit, lol).

As far as how do you keep them from passing germs to one another??? Well, you don’t! You just take all the same precautions all (most) parents do. But they are siblings living in the same house, its almost impossible to keep things from spreading. I will tell you that at one of my first mothers of multiples meetings I went to…lol, the common way of thinking there was to let them all get sick together or else, what would have been a few days of an illness, could last potentially 3 to 9 times longer. I heard of people feeding their babies with one spoon/bowl just so they would share the same germs, lol. I am not talking about infants that had/have any serious medical issues…these were healthy babies with normal or high birth weights for multiples.

Ahem…she is (hopefully) going to be going UP AND DOWN a lot when she moves in. There are SIX other children who need her care…some special needs. She’ll need to go up and down to care for THOSE children. Is Angels providing care for the first six? I don’t think so.

One question I want Dr. Phil or the audience to ask “We’ve seen a lot of you away from your home without any of your first six children. Who is taking care of them and who is paying for that care?”

“I fell asleep in the chair by the crib, and woke to see them with each others thumbs in the wrong mouth, lol.”

Oh, I hope you took a picture! That is about the cutest baby story ever.

papengena: I fell asleep in the chair by the crib, and woke to see them with each others thumbs in the wrong mouth…

Ok, ok, I’m a very visual person, and that just brought me to tears instantly. How preciously sweet.

blankmind-
(post#1388) LOL. I feel really sorry for you CA residents… As an aside, the blogs (can’t post link to blogs, but they are pretty easy to find if you put “nadya suleman before plastic surgery” in a search engine) show photos of nadya before and after the plastic surgery that she denies. Its pretty striking. So glad her priorities continue to be in the right place. NOT. Well, at least she is consistent. :o

Oh I have mountains of pictures, lol. It actually brings tears to my eyes thinking about it…22 yrs ago, but feels like it all just happened:) Pretty sure the moms understand that, and probably some of the dads.

jym626, I checked out her alleged “before and after plastic surgery” pix. I’m not convinced she had any.

The “befores” were all snapshots; she’s not wearing any makeup; the lighting is crummy. In the “afters,” she’s got make up, good lighting, and she didn’t just give birth 12 hours before.

It looks like she had her eyebrows waxed or plucked or shaped, but that’s really all I see that’s different. Her nose in the “after” looks better, but again – I think it’s 'cause of lighting and make-up. And to me, her lips don’t look that different; it’s her facial expression that’s different.
