^^^ That’s terrific!! ^^^

I don’t have any tattoos, but how long would it take to get it done? I would assume a couple of hours. Man, I should have had octuplets, b/c she seems to have more free time on her hands than I had with just 1. Maybe it was a smart move, maybe it was the only way to get a tattoo without pain b/c most new moms would have fallen asleep.

Remember she still has all the nannies, so she is full of free time!

Does anyone know how long the nannies are going to work for her? I will be interested to see what happens when they leave. It does seem like this woman has the energy of many or is on some great drugs; although I would assume we only get to see her at her best, maybe after 10 hours of sleep. It is hard to tell when the camera only shows 5 minutes of her day.

How can anyone with 14 kids including 8 infants and 2 toddlers get any sleep at all even with nannies?

From the CDC website–
What do we know about human-to-human spread of swine flu?
In September 1988, a previously healthy 32-year-old pregnant woman was hospitalized for pneumonia and died 8 days later. A swine H1N1 flu virus was detected. Four days before getting sick, the patient visited a county fair swine exhibition where there was widespread influenza-like illness among the swine.

Um yeah, you know all this talk about swine flu just makes me want to well, adopt a pig as a pet…yeah that’s it. we all know that pigs are so cute, and cuddly, my older kids can play with it and then come in and cuddle the babies…

talk about lack of maternal instinct.

jym626: Thanks for the update. I have been missing Nadya.

And now just to be a contrarian  and because “the change” seems to me making me even *****ier than usual — exactly why does she have to stay home with the babies? If she is arranging appropriate childcare? Did all of you stay home with your children?
How many hours a day does she need to spend on task with childcare to satisfy you? Along with a small group of friends I engaged in probably as intense a hands-on mothering experience as has ever existed: extended breastfeeding, family bed, home schooling. I can count the times I left my children with sitters on the fingers of one hand. And yet neither I nor any of my intense mothering friends would ever criticize another mother for making a different choice with regard to childcare. I think other mothering styles work just as well. And undoubtedly even better for some children.

I don’ t think any of us were on drugs. But an inordinate amount of caffeine was consumed. And we all looked like wrecks for several years running. And probably got grayer at a much earlier age than the norm. :eek:And many might argue, justifiably, that we were just at a different societally unacceptable mothering extreme than Nadya. But Please Don’t
Unless you really want to :D

With continued thanks to swimcatsmom for the smiley faces lesson.

"LA HABRA, California — Octuplets mother Nadya Suleman was questioned Wednesday by police and child welfare officials after her 4-year-old autistic son showed up at school with a black eye and bite marks.

Orange County’s Child and Family Services and two La Habra police detectives visited Suleman’s home but it was not clear if any action would be taken against the mother of 14, said Jeff Czech, Suleman’s attorney.

Click here for photos of the octuplets.

The 45-minute visit, first reported by RadarOnline.com, was arranged when a teacher noticed Aidan’s injuries and reported them to authorities, Czech said.

The attorney said the boy likely got the black eye from a fall and suggested one of Suleman’s 2-year-old twins may have caused the bite marks."

"n an exclusive interview with In Touch magazine, Nadya Suleman’s ex-boyfriend says he believes he is the father of the Octomom’s eldest son, 7-year-old Elijah. And he wants to prove it.
"I want to get a DNA test on that first kid,” says Luis Ceballos, 32, who served as Suleman’s driver during the year she spent working as a stripper at bachelor parties, private events and a San Diego club.
Ceballos claims he and Suleman, 33, had unprotected, uh, relations "in the back of my limo. "

I wonder what the nannies are saying about the son.

Wow, more Octonews: PETA goes after the Octomom!

[PETA Discourages Octo-Mom From Buying a Pet](http://omg.yahoo.com/news/peta-discourages-octo-mom-from-buying-a-pet/21870?nc)

One of the few times I have read an article about PETA and not thought ‘what a bunch of idiots’.

swimcatsmom, I agree! :)

I’ll second that - for once PETA said something I agree with!

The Octomom is even loonier than PETA. Yikes!..

You have to stop using that name, not loony, but the other because she will make royalty money off of it! I think we should change it to the mom oof 8 who shall not be named!

The loony formerly known as…

Okay how about the CA loony formerly known as…

I refuse to allow her to make any money off of me, so from now on I will only acknowledge her as the CA loony! I can only hope that the media also stops calling her the previous name

What a nut. Where does she get the money??

Then it is official? She has been granted a trademark on the name?
I had guessed it would have been denied because there is no evidence she thought of it, and it has been widely used about her long before she tried to claim it as her own.

I doubt she’s yet gotten a trademark on the name. That would require a lawyer, some filings, paying a fee, etc. I don’t think she’s that organized. Nor does she have the time for such nonsense.

But I’m guessing.

Does this mean that whenever we use the name, we have to put a little ™ at the top??
