<p>I saw Octomom on Oprah last night. The camera crews spent 24 hours at her home recording the chaos. </p>
<p>I find many of her decisions to be outrageous. However, I have to admire her energy. Yes, she has 3 nannies (daytime only) and some other ancillary help. But I would literally have a nervous breakdown if I had to live her life for even 1 week. I’d become psychotic from severe sleep deprivation and sensory overload. I would literally turn into a hysterical, shrieking shrew. I don’t know how she survives.</p>
<p>She made several comments that it is HER responsibility to support her children, not THEIRS to support her. She vowed to never “exploit her children for gain.” I wondered if she was getting in digs on Kate Gosselin.</p>
<p>Anyway, it was an interesting show.</p>
<p>I saw a snipit on one of the entertainment talk shows. They alluded to her house being close to foreclosure and that she was “trying to work something out” (or words to that effect). She is not employed, and talked about the $ she earned posing in a bikini for a magazine to earn income to help support the family, and other things she might have to consider to earn fast $$. At least Kate Gosselin wrote books and is keeping her clothes on, though she got the boot from Dancing with the stars, I believe.</p>
<p>^^^Yes, they talked about how she got 100K for the bikini photo. Apparently she’s received offers of big money to star in a porn film, but she said she wouldn’t do it if they offered her 100 million.</p>
<p>She’s really got her work cut out for her supporting those kids. Some of them appear to have special needs.</p>
<p>I would think that many of them have special needs because they were born so premature. If I recall correctly doesn’t her oldest son have autism?</p>

<p>When her 14 kids are working adults they could contribute substantially more to society and the economy than the standard 1.27 kids the average American couple produces. My wife and I have 13 children. We’ve homeschooled from day 1. The eldest has her Masters in Nursing and teaches at the University as well as works in Neurosurgery. She makes $50/hr and pays a lot into the system. Every adult child I have is likewise successful. The Federal tax credits I received to raise them was an investment with good return for society.</p>
<p>Yeah, Supertramp, but did you and your wife have 13 kids under the age of 8 (or however old Nadia Suleman’s oldest is)? Did you have a way to support this large family? You have a two parent household which already makes things a lot easier. I think your situation is probably a lot different than “octomom’s.”</p>

<p>Let’s not forget that “octomom” had special needs kids BEFORE deciding to add 8 more to the mix. </p>

<p>Am embarrassed to admit this, but I watched her interview with Dr. Drew tonight.</p>
<p>Of course she was drugged; she was undergoing a procedure. He should not have consulted with her regarding the extra embryos while she was sedated.</p>

<p>How on earth is she paying for 3 nannies?</p>
