<p>chelle, I don’t want you to think your question is being ignored, but I don’t know the answer to that. My D has a very legit voice so she doesn’t do a lot of belting, but I don’t think they discourage it. I know they want to teach proper technique.</p>
<p>Some people might argue that OCU students don’t get taught to belt, but my voice teach wrote his Doctoral Thesis on the mechanics of the “Broadway Belt.”</p>
<p>I know many wonderful Belters who o to OCU, so the answer is yes.</p>
