Odd ACT retake situation

Took ACT 1st time with absolutely no prep December of my Junior year. 27C
Took it again February of my Junior Year with heavy prep, got sick before the test day and got a 30C
Third time was in April, finally did how I was supposed to and got a 33C.
The problem is that my breakdown is 34E, 33M, 36R, and 27S (I know, Goddamn Quarks). On both of the previous ACTs I got a 26 on science, so should I retake it?

I’m considering SCEAing to Yale, and the applying to a couple schools that superscore like MIT, UChicago, and University of Miami. So if I manage to raise my science to a 31 thats already a 34C for those schools. Yet when I do send my entire testing history to some of these colleges I worry it will look bad, but then again its not as if I’ve been retaking the test and getting the exact same score, so I don’t think its that bad if colleges see I have improved considerably, I’m also URM if that means anything.

Any advice?

The 33M is below the 34-36 MIT average range. You should also work on improving that score. Why not just work on improving the math and science scores and forget about super scoring? Most of the schools don’t require you to send all of your scores anyway.

I suggest that you retake , with a focus on science and math. If you can get a 27, in S you may need only 5 more questions correct to move your score. Good luck!

Yes you need to retake. Your 33 is probably only in range for Miami. The Science portion is not about Science but about how to read graphs and think logically.
