Odd APUSH questions

I don’t know if my answer key is messed up (can someone verify/send me theirs if it is really messed up), but the answers for these 2001 MC questions don’t add up:

The principal reason for the formation of the Dixiecrat party in 1948 was the opposition of dissident Democrats to President Truman’s
a. establishment of the CIA
b. removal of General MacArthur from his military command
c. support for the Taft Hartley Act
d. proposal for civil rights legislation
e. call for an investigation of the loyalty of all federal employees
I put d; they are called Dixies for a reason. key says c, which I’m sure isn’t right.

By the 1750s the British colonies on the North American mainland were characterized by all of the following EXCEPT
a. disdain for British constitutional monarchy
b. many religious denominations
c. a society without a hereditary aristocracy
d. a growing number of non English settlers
e. acceptance of slavery as a labor system
I put a, the answer key says c! wth?

That is odd… your answers are correct.

Double affirmation–you are correct.

The key was a document on a file site. I’m guessing that it was a student/teacher created key then.

actually on ques 77 a is the right answer but c would also look right because the tradition of primogeniture was somewhat dissolved and aristocracy was not hereditary and only remained chiefly in NC. But this was only after the democratic spirit of the colonies not in the 1750s where the colonies were still trying to reason with the british throne…

P.s.- please correct me if i am wrong…
