Odyssey Scholarship

What can you tell me about the Odyssey Scholarship that Hendrix awards?

Also, what are some of the other scholarships that Hendrix offers? I’m pretty sure I qualify for the Governor’s (34 ACT, 4.0+ GPA), but even if I get it I’m not sure that it will cover everything.

Hendrix covers the difference of what the governors scholarship doesn’t…

I have a 34 ACT as well, and I’m pretty sure you and I are set for it.

The Governor’s scholarship became competitive for the first time this year–they had about 280 qualified applicants for 250 awards, so about 30 people were cut. There may be even more qualified next year–I believe the class is larger. Your chances are still excellent, though. They are in the process of changing the application/scoring system because of problems this year (homeschoolers–including my kid-- were eliminated due to lack of “class rank” and “school leadership”), so I can’t say how the competition will work next year. Just be aware that it is not an “automatic” scholarship anymore–unless they decide to give out more of them. . .(No problem for my kid, he’s going out-of-state)

Hendrix will offer you academic and Odyssey Scholarships after you are accepted–many on this list received offers that were around 14,000-15,000/year–very generous. If you get the GDS, everything will be covered.

I got the scholarship, but I declined.

I’m heading to Wash U.

Congrats, and good luck! (We used to live in St. Louis–lots to love about that city!)
