<p>Just make sure that any scholarships and grants wont be affected by going off campus.</p>
<p>There’s a dedicated NYU Office of Off-Campus Housing. You can or go on their website and see if they have any leads for reliable brokers or tips on apartment hunting. </p>

<p>I’m currently a junior at NYU and moved off-campus this year. Without a doubt, it is a better choice both $$ wise and convenience wise. Places I recommend looking for housing are Stuyvesant Town, and in the Lower East Side.</p>

<p>Our daughter and her friends used craigslist to find an apartment in the East Village. The cost is about the same. They’re three blocks east of where they were in Third North.</p>
