<p>My daughter is completing her first year abroad (the FYA program through FSU) and will be in Tallahassee beginning in August. She does not want to live in the dorms but we are having a hard time determining the best off-campus options simply because we do not live there and most reviews are AWFUL. I have to think only the very unhappy are giving reviews! Any insight into a safe, well-maintained property close to campus would be appreciated!</p>

<p>601 Copeland Apartments are opening this fall so they are brand new. You can walk to campus. Sounds like it has all the bells and whistles, including fitness center and pool.</p>

<p>Most of the areas directly around FSU are not the greatest. Many students live in the High Road area which is probably a bit better than the area directly off campus. She will probably want to be on the bus line as parking on campus is horrible.</p>
<p>I’m trying to get into Copeland. It’s my top choice for off-campus housing because of it’s location, and because honestly, most of the other apartment complexes seem to be in shady neighborhoods. It’s not too terribly expensive, and if you get roommates, it lowers the cost.</p>

I am looking for a good option for an apartment for my daughter who will be attending USF in the fall. I would like her close to campus since she doesn’t have a car but every review I have read is horrible. She will also have to do roommate matching which I heard can be awful too. Any advice from people experienced with the apartments in the area would be appreciated. I know to stay away from any place that is near Frenchtown. I saw on line 601 Copeland but not sure if they are still taking renters for the fall.</p>
