Is it possible to be admitted off the waitlist before the June deadline that WA mentioned. If a letter of interest is sent, with good updates to your application, would that help?

Thank you.

There is no telling when persons will be admitted through waitlist. Last year, it was 42 of the 4,498 who accepted a place on the waiting list. The year before 79 out of 3,724. This equates to about a 1% chance of getting admitted through the waitlist. I don’t believe that anything you would do would help really, it’s just a matter of luck right now.

But is it possible, for example, to hear back on May 2nd?

I doubt it considering the dead line to accept/deny the waitlist is may 15th. So technically the earliest you’ll hear back is may 16th. But I wouldn’t expect to hear anything at all before june.

Cross your bridges when you get there. Deposit at your favorite college where you have an acceptance. If you receive an offer from the UofM waitlist you can decide at that point.
