Depends on the college.
My oldest who went to a SLAC? Yes.

Oh sorry - we were talking about Cal Poly SLO specifically.
My S23 is a sophomore and he moved off campus after freshman year. But he’s not at Cal Poly SLO.
I don’t think SLO has enough housing for that. A few years ago they built some new dorms. Now they have a two year housing requirement for some majors.
According to the FAQ, second-year students live in Cerro Vista Apartments and Poly Canyon Village. I think both of those options have kitchens in the units.
Broncos fan?
In Denver, no matter what sport you like the colors are horrible (baby blue, purple, orange, maroon).
My daughter played in college, and by year four the ‘home white’ was a shade between gray and sickly green from grass stains. Same uniform for 4 years, and since they played 2/3 of their games at home, those uniforms took a beating.
I like the Broncos because one of my sons lives in Denver . I like the Broncos colors. But it was the college colors of other son and his wife ( orange and dark blue) that I was referring to.
No, they live on campus for max two years, and the second year they have apartments with kitchens.
My son goes to Lehigh and the brown really does grow on you! I actually look FANTASTIC in brown so I proudly wear the merch.
UMich
Sometimes the shade of a color matters.
Allstate Insurance releases classic commercial revolving around the Duke/UNC rivalry

And I pull up quick to retrieve it”
I brutalism
What’s with the hate for maroon?
My college at Cam has maroon and gold as its colors. People loved it because the colors look like Gryffindor (of course wearing gowns helps lol)
It’s West Point
I meant the picture on the river somebody posted. He replied to my question.
Sorry, I thought you responded to my maize/blue comment upthread with “Where’s that?,” thus the laughing emojis.
I posted the pic; our son commissioned from West Point. Everything is gray there. All the time.
Yep.
Which is one of many reasons (eg, dusty sand colored Middle East) my dear friend, who is now retired, is enjoying life on a family-run marina.
Stunning pic!
I know this thread is 3 years old now but I just saw the question to my statement. It was Thomas Jefferson in Philly. Its a shame because it is in a nice area too by all the boat houses on the Schuykill River in the East Falls neighborhood which is so cute and lots of outdoor activities.
And that’s the beauty of assessing beauty! It’s subjective, all around.
(And FWIW, Syracuse has the one IMO attractive brutalist academic building I’ve ever seen. It fits delightfully into the built environment in ways that most academic brutalism doesn’t.)
My daughter loves maroon and gold (her dad is a Loyola Chicago alum and her top choice school is maroon and gold). But she is also an HP fan.
