***Official 2015 June SAT (US Only) THREAD***

College Board is getting a lot of crap for this little typo. I’d be shocked if the scale is not nicer.

So I called and spoke to a Collegeboard representative this morning. She said that they had just left a training briefing and had received a new email regarding scoring. What she told me was that, based on booklet number, they will be able to determine whether the misprint was in the CR or math section for that specific booklet, and will subsequently not count the scores for that one section. NOT BOTH SECTIONS (she assured me of this and said that they talked about it in their session). With that being said, does anyone who had section 8 CR followed by Section 9 math know which of these two sections had the misprint (it would be different if the order was reversed).

is the sentence completion question explained/independent in section 8/9?

also, was the "sphere inscribed in a cube with side length 20, what is radius?"question in section 8/9

@pokemon1 how many are u assuming wrong for those predicted scores?

@bobchillax it was the reading. I still want both to be canceled though. That would actually help me score lol

@bobchillax that makes no sense because of different test forms, and CB said on twitter that both sections will be taken out. The section with the error was CR

“After a comprehensive review and statistical analysis, the College Board and ETS have determined that the last reading and last math sections will not be scored, and that we will still be able to provide reliable scores for all students who took the SAT on June 6. We expect to deliver scores within the usual time frame.”

They actually updated the FAQ at about 3pm (east coast) if anyone hasn;t seen already.

@mnallamalli97 No, that questions was in one of the earlier math sections.

bobchilax - the info you received was incorrect. This is the link to the updated CB statement. Both sections will not be scored.

So now I missed probably 2 in CR. Let’s just say I missed 3. Would I break 750 probably?

guys! is the explained/independent section 8/9? also, are they just taking one section out? or both 8 and 9?!

@mnallamalli97 both

does anyone remember what section the math problem find the 57th term was in? was it or was it not in the 20 min math section

Sorry about that, guess I received bad information

@fidnslsdfjio The 57th term one was not in a 20 minute math section.
@mnallamalli97 The cube question was not in the 20 minute math section.

@lolokcollege I know I got 100% in math. Predicting 3/4 wrong in writing and reading with atleast an 11 in essay. If I don’t get 2300+ atleast I have junior year to fix it up

Ik for sure I got a 100% on math so you can ask me questions if you like

@pokemon1 what’s your plan of testing if june doesn’t work out? Are you taking the Sat Math 2 too?

If my score is between 700-720 in reading or writing, then I will do vigorous training through out the summer to bring it upto 750. I’m a sophomore but I don’t plan on taking the new SAT next spring. I took the Sat math 2 in May and got a 800 already.
