@pokemon1 ahh…i feel that a 740 for 3/4 wrong for the W section may be too optimistic though…but i do hope it works in ur favor! and congrats on the 800 in math! thats a huge accomplishment esp cuz ur a sophomore and u have all of junior year too!
I need this 2100 dude I really hope they’re generous with the curve…
im hoping for 2300+, very confnident i got 800 on math and 800 on writing only if essya holds. praying for 700+ on cr I know i got 3 wrong already tehre
Wouldn’t sphere-cube problem be 10root3. Use 20 by 20 to get 20root2 then (20root2)^2 + 20^2 = 20root3 which is diagonal cut that get 10root3
The sphere was inside the cube though so it never touched the corners. It was just 10
@oneill121297 No because the 20 root 2 is not the diameter of the sphere. If you look at a sphere inside of a cube, the edges are never touched. The only point of contact is the middle of each square surface of the sphere. hence, the longest distance is 20, so 10 radius
Down to one skip one wrong for math then. Hopefully curve is friendly.
What do you think the curve will look like? Some are saying it will be harsher due to less questions but others are saying it will be lenient because CollegeBoard does not want more angry parents and students on their hands…
@curlypie99 I honestly think that college board could care less about “uproar” if they give a harsh curve. I recall plenty of uproar after the curve for the November exam was released. They really don’t care if you’re upset or if you don’t think you got what you deserved. Currently, there is really only one other major test to send to colleges, the ACT, and the SAT is still the most popular test in the country. There aren’t that many test-optional colleges, either. CB has enough power where the uproar that would result from a tough test is trivial. They’re concerned about money, and nothing else.
@Qwerty568 they’ll care because THEY made the mistake
They’ll at least somewhat care because an uproar, if formidable enough, could tarnish College Board’s reputation and lower its future earnings as more people side with the ACT. They aren’t going to go to great lengths to appease everyone, like some people seemed to think, but they also aren’t going to give a harsh curve.
Also, does anyone know if the “explained…independent” SC was in the last section or the second one?
explained…independent. is that one gonna be deleted?
For the Nicaragua one I got “the rhymes were new to the Spanish language” (forgot exact wording) and the second one as it was lost in translation. For the Austen one where it asked what would the one person on passage one day abt the “missing letters” of passage two that the Austen fam was trying to hide her true emotions. Can anyone else confirm.
I’m not sure for the first Nicaragua question what the exact answer was, but It was something along the lines that it was the he first time someone had tried such a thing because it was “audacious”
What was the explained/independent sentence? Please post the “gist” of it, even if you don’t remember the whole thing?
Hmm, I can’t quite remember the sentence. I remember another choice was “discerned” and “unrelated,” and I thought that was it.
although____ and ______ languages were explained, they are independent… something like that
Yea… I put discerned and unrelated too…
answer was explained/unrelated… i hope that was part of the section that got deleted.
