***Official 2015 June SAT (US Only) THREAD***

How do I register for the waived October SAT? Do I have to contact the CB or something?

@Qwerty568 I’m pretty sure they only did statistical analysis for your messed up section (CR or W). The rest is on you. I (as well as many others) received what we believe to be accurate scoring. Don’t just blame the college board for the fact that you may have bombed a test.

@cptjosh787 there’s instructions on the CB website. You have to call them.

@ComputerAge Don’t be rude. You don’t think it’s bizarre that my score dropped 200 points? 20, I get, 50, okay, but not 200. I really don’t care if you feel that you got accurate scores, because I KNOW I didn’t.

@Qwerty568

I have to agree with @cptjosh787 . If you can drop 100 points on the unaffected section, dropping 80 points on another section is not outside the realm of possibilities

Was it a PSAT curve?What do you guys think

@cityonanocean Regardless, these scores aren’t going anywhere near my college applications, so they’re irrelevant now, I suppose. I’ll be out of the country by October, so I’m not retaking it. What a waste of sixty dollars.

I personally believe my own scores were very accurate. My composite percentile was exactly the same for both the PSAT and this SAT. Even my individual scores for both exams were in the same percentiles! (and my writing and math scores were just the psat score x 10)

@sIronMan

I think the math curve was similar to the psat curve at the top (-0 to -4)

Nah it was better than PSAT curve @sIronMan

You guys are going to hate me, but… 2400!!! :smiley:

2220…

I’m very happy with my CR: 750 and writing: 790 (10 essay)
But I got a 680 on math… I’m extremely disappointed, I got 740-760 on all official CB practice tests I’ve taken and I got a 71 on my PSAT in October… so how did I get a 680 this time? Does anyone have a guess on how many questions missed that is?

@16elir

Omg congratulations!!! :DD

respect

@16elir Why would we hate you? Congratulations!! :slight_smile:

congrats @16elir!!

@cityonanocean thanks :slight_smile:

Only thing that was surprising was that I got a 9 on the essay and still got an 800 for writing. There must have been a nice curve there. Tbh, I thought I would get a 12… I liked my essay

I thought that math would be more likely impacted by CB dropping the two sections than critical reading, mainly because there would be a higher percentage of grid-ins, and they are scored differently than multiple choice.

My score is quite low, coming in at a 1630, but this was my first time taking it with no preparation at all beforehand. I’m quite excited to study for this October SAT I & see how much I improve.

So can we all agree that the math curve was incredibally harsh???

@ahhmmm109 I think so, but really don’t know how many missed. Was hoping those who have figured out the scale could tell.

@ahhmmm109 I actually don’t think it was terrible, considering how many questions were cut. I’ve seen worse curves on full/complete math sections.
