Daughter dropped in all 3 sections compared to the October 2014 section. Time for another retake.
How do u guys know your essay scores?? I cant find them no matter where i look!
@BenzeneRings Same! I went up to 2300 superscore but my writing dropped 790 to 680…
@WaltzingM the consensus here seems to be -2 is 730.
Will colleges think its weird that my individual scores are 2120 (650cr/680m/790w) and 2190 (780cr/730m/680w) but my superscore is 2300? Like “wow that kid’s writing score was a fluke.” ?
I’m so happy I choose to take the Physics sat instead of this round of gen SAT, this one sounds freaking BRUTAL loll

I have really strong AP scores (7 when this year comes out, so far all fives on the three I took freshman/sophomore) and next year will be taking AP STAT, CALC BC. My grades in AB and prospective five in that class can supplement my low math score.
Here are my college choices- what do you guys think?
- Emory university (match- dream school!)
- University of Chicago (reach, but it’s a crapshoot)
- University of Florida (state school, safety)
- Cedarville university (small, Christian, parents are alums, accepted)
- Samford (another parent approved choice, I have no intention of going there)
- Usf (I can go there free)
I need more colleges that are a match for my academics and scores. Suggestions? I want to be an epidemiologist or geographer.

So what is the usual curve like if the June SAT scores were -1 for 770 -3 740 etc? This was my first time and I got a 690 M 640 R and 590 W (which was totally bogus - I write slowly and only did one page so got a 6!!! on the essay - I’ve never had below an A in honors English). I have to take it again but can’t in October - this is really going to screw me up.
When I took it in March it was -6 for 680, but that was a very lenient curve. I think -2 for 730 is only a little lower than average, average being 740-750.

Well I expected much higher on math. My score dropped 40 points :’( I guess I’m gonna have to resort to the ACT in Sept.

Are you gonna use the fee waiver for Oct. or just take the ACT in Sept. or both?
my score went up 90 points but only thanks to the writing section(math went up 30 for me but reading went down 10 so that didnt help me. also i thought i had a solid 10 on the essay but i dont care at this point)
