***Official 2015 June SAT (US Only) THREAD***

@ScienceGeekGirl My son was already registered for the October through the CB using their waiver for the fee because of this test and his scores still came today. Registering for the October test does not affect these scores in anyway, It’s just like registering to take it again.

@DonQixote practice tests all the way. and getting used to reading and understanding dense language (english class helps).

Does anyone know if most selective schools (Ivy Leagues) use the superscore?

@pokemon1 dang… I put 0 too but I got 760 so I’m trying to figure out which one I got wrong, good job though!

Hey guys, new user here. How do you view your essay scores before “Understand your test performance” comes
out? Thanks

@lesender
It should be listed where your other scores are. I’m not sure why some people don’t have theirs.

No.

@chrysanthMum I think I’m not going to the place everyone is haha I’ll try asking @Newdle I was having the same problem. How did you get to see yours?

CR 640 Math 760 W 720 (10) in March
CR 580 Math 800 W 720 (9) in June
I think my reading score is affected by the timing issue and I’ll definitely do again in October. Disappointed

will i have to see and send my scores for the October test if one of my application deadline is November 1?
The October scores come out on Oct. 22 btw

2270

710 CR
760 Math
800 Writing (80 MC, 11 essay)

I think that what might have happened was that the Collegeboard decided to make the Writing curve generous so that such action can compensate for harsh CR and math curve. One person commented that he had 75 MC and 12 essay but still got 800 on Writing. I mean, this is just my guess, and there’s no evidence whatsoever. But this is just my hunch. O by the way there was 3 “No error” on Writing

I got a 690 math, so obviously I’m quite upset. Does anyone have an idea how many questions I missed? I believe I incorrectly answered 3…

-0 800
-1 760
-2 730
-3 690

Is that correct?

Interestingly, my best score was the unaffected section - writing. In general, how do people feel? Are people irate about the misprint and feel that the error harmed their scores, are people neutral, or are people happy?

@golfcashoahu in general, those whose scores went down blame the misprint and those who are happy with their score are indifferent

@golfcashoahu

Reactions are varied, but my results were unsurprising. Everything, from the order of my best to worst sections, to the percentiles of my scores were the same as I expected.

-Best section was writing, closely followed by critical reading, with math being in the low 700s, as always
-My composite score for both the PSAT and this SAT were in the same percentile
-My score for each individual section on the PSAT had the exact same percentile as my score for each individual section on this SAT
-My math and my writing scores for this SAT were actually just my scores on the respective PSAT section times 10
-Took 2 practice exams and my practice scores from the second try were within 10 points away from my actual scores from this SAT

Does anyone know what 690 math is? Is it -3?

@golfcashoahu It seems to be -4.

I got a 730 on math, and I am absolutely sure I missed two. Some people have reported 710s, so 690 has to be -4.

700 CR: Woah…I didn’t even think I broke 600 on this one. CR is a nightmare for me.
730 M : Disappointing considering math is my best subject and I definitely got a perfect score on the removed section.
640 W, 10 Essay: ??? I am having a hard time accepting this one, especially with the 10 essay. This doesn’t even seem possible. I found writing relatively easy on this test and I consistently get mid-700s on this section. Should I do score verification? There is just no way in hell I missed 10+ questions.

Is hand scoring/score verification free?

Nothing the CB offers is free  It’s $55.00

Scores
CR:650
M:630
W:560

These scores confuse because the section that I did the best on (critical reading), I thought was going to be my worse as it usually is, and I felt much more confident about the Writing and Math Sections

yeah for writing I had a 9 essay and 75 MC and got a 750. @ekl2498 that seems odd. Maybe you skipped a question and had a frameshift type thing happen.

Also I’m pretty sure the 9/10 thing hurt me on CR- 630 and may have helped me on math- 690 because I honestly felt better about CR than math coming out of the SAT, especially after checking this thread.
