Does anyone know what time the score reports come out?
@czarpeter Score report is out.
If anyone’s wondering,
-2 on reading was a 780
-0 on math was an 800
-2 writing was a MC of 75 (which was 770 with a 10 essay)
-5 on CR = 700
-3 on M = 710
-5 on W = 68 MC (710 with 10 essay)
So yep for Math:
-0 = 800
-1 = 760
-2 = 730
-3 = 710
-2 CR= 780
-0 M = 800
-5 with 10 essay W = 710
-5 on CR = 700
0 Math = 800
-3 on W with a 12 Essay = 770
Just for those who want to compile the data
-1 CR = 800
-4 M = 690
-4 W = 69
Don’t know how that compares to the curve for other dates, but would love to know
I missed 3 math questions and got a 690 (35 correct, 3 wrong). On my PSAT, I also missed 3 questions and got a 71 (710). This is garbage. Granted, I should not have made some careless errors. But I still don’t get how -3 should be a 690…my raw score out of 38 was a 34.25, divide that by 38 and multiply by 54 and it is a 49. A 49 is almost always like a 710/700. I’m confused.
Writing curve, on the bright side, was quite lenient.
-3 in november was 670
@cityonanocean That test was an anomaly, not the general math curve.
-3 CR is 730
@golfcashoahu
According to College Panda a -3 in Math is…
Score: 710 | 720 | 730 | 740
Chance: 29% | 48% | 19% | 5%
edit: wait did you omit any questions on math because I got 3 wrong with zero omits and got a 710
The CR curve was probably the harshest because a -3 is:
Score: 750 760 770 780 790
Chance: 9% 27% 27% 27% 9%
And a -5 in CR is:
Score: 720 730 740 750 760
Chance: 9% 36% 23% 23% 9%
@Chrysanthemum14 Yes, but SAT Panda Calculator is basing its calculations off the full length SAT, not what we had. In order to make that calculator compatible with this test, you would need to get your raw score out of 38, divide that number by 38, and then multiply by the typical number of questions in that section.
For example, if you incorrectly answered 3 math questions: 35/38 and then multiply by 54. Now use Panda Calculator.
It is quite funny how we are unhappy with the Math/CR curves but the Writing was ok…
@golfcashoahu
Oh ok, thank you. This makes more sense and the most likely scores match up.
35 correct, 3 wrong on math, 0 omit. Does anyone have a score for this? I received a 690, but others had the EXACT SOME score breakdown and received a 710. ANYONE?
Someone could get 2 mc wrong and 1 grid-in wrong. That would be a 710.
Someone could also get 1 mc wrong and 2 grid-ins wrong. Also 710.
3 mc wrong and 0 grid-ins wrong = 690
I spoke with College Board today to request a free waiver for the October test and they told me that I cannot receive one because I took the test with accommodations in a school based setting. I asked him if my last math and reading sections were thrown like everyone else who was affected and he said they were not. So, basically, this June 6th SAT was anything but standardized.
Does the score report released today also show that they counted those two sections for you? The people receiving calls have been known to give ridiculously incorrect information (ex: people reported a few weeks ago that when they called, they were told that their experimental sections would count …)
lol -4 cr = 710 how balanced. this screwup lowered my score by probably 30-50
