***Official 2015 June SAT (US Only) THREAD***

So just to confirm, 3-4 wrong is 700?

Will the college board cancell both sections 8 and 9 or just the one that had a mistake in your test?

@y0l0lsen Not confirmed but that’s what has been predicted as of now.

@sveta11 Both.

@sveta11 both

:))

enamored zeal was in deleted section @takemetochurch
easter island will not count

thats too bad that both bc my son did well on a math and it won’t count!!!

which math questions and english questions were on section 8 and 9

Anyone wanna throw out some estimates for their scores?

@relaxer06 i got 3 wrong so far in cr, i prob got 5 total wrong which is around 670?
got none wrong for writing so hopefully 800 if essay holds
if no silly mistakes then 800 for math. still p pissed about cr curve being so hard…

Was the CR question with “eschew”, “invoke”, and “propagate” in the last sections?

@bunjamin that was firest section
@

if there cancelling 8 and 9 are they still going to not count the experimental section

@dijsihi Experimental would never be counted.

@takemetochurch 19 questions. Jane Austen was an earlier section.

These are some estimates using the PSAT curve.
5 wrong in CR = 690
3 MC + 1 Grid-in wrong in M = 680
5 wrong in W = 670
Overall: 2040

Damn…

Let’s compile a list of the questions on Section 8 and 9 here! Reply to me if you have something to add to the list and I will edit this post.

CRITICAL READING (19 questions) (vocab and questions about two passages about Moai)
-Vocab questions: enamored of/zeal (was that in this section?), featured in/sparse (was that in this section?)
-What was the tone of both passages? (The answer was analytical) (this was in this section, right?)
-What does the first experiment take into account that the second does not? (The answer was natives)
-What additional information would support the canoe ladder theory? (The answer was contact between Eastern Islanders and Hawaiians)
-What is the advantage of the first experiment over the canoe ladder? (The answer was less resources)
-What did the explorers think of the natives’ explanation of the Moai? (I think the answer was imaginative descriptions of real processes, but I think I’m getting the wording wrong)
-Why does the author mention Hawaiian boats of a similar size? (The answer was to anticipate a potential objection)
-What does ‘fixed’ most nearly mean? (The answer was stationary)
-What else??

MATH (16 questions)
-The surface area of a right rectangular pyramid with length and weight 10 and a slant height of 12 (The answer was 340).
-If function ax^2+bx+c has a minimum at 5 and x=2 what is a? (The answer was 2)
-Each block is worth 1 point… what is value when you draw line between two blocks? (The answer was 2sqrt(5)) (I’m wording this weirdly) (this was in this section, right?)
-What else??

Right now:
0 M
3-5 CR
3-5 W
Really hope I can get 700+ on reading.

was section 8 CR and 9 a math?

What about the 57th Term, was that in Section 8/9.

was the critical reading about Henry and this house that he wanted experimental
