Even though I havent gotten an early letter, the website that says the financial aid award has been updates and says everything. am i in? or am i goin crazy here?</p>

Last year, someone from my area also got EW and the Schupf Scholarship as an international. He’s the science-type student, so I get the impression that Amherst is trying to expand its science faculties by targeting a certain type of students, instead of just compete with HYP for the best students.</p>
<p>yea everythings filled out. & i have a message saying ill get more info in late spring. i think ill call just 2 see if they’re not jerkin my leg.</p>

<p>I’m an international student with strong interest in science and math, too! So yes, I did not get EW. Ah, I was trying to be in denial. :)</p>
<p>@gap: I really wouldn’t worry about it. Only a small percentage get EWs, and they’re mostly hooked.</p>
<p>@darkblademaster: Log into My Amherst. It should say on the left of the page that your financial award is ready for viewing. If not, you probably turned the IDOC in later than most people and your award info. will be updated later.</p>

<p>@honeyjay - URM, low income, first gen. Though, there was a problem with my midyear report (it came in eventually) and my test scores aren’t OMG beast like a lot of people who got EWs.</p>
<p>What is DivOH?</p>
<p>Diversity Open House. Basically, if admitted, Amherst sends you to the school for free to see the campus, participate in workshops, etc.</p>
<p>Hey, guys. I have another random question. Will RD applicants who are admitted have a change in financial aid on the status website? Or is it common for those changes not to occur until it gets closer to the mailing date of decisions?</p>
<p>i finally got my EW this past week. the mail service sucks. That letter was sent out 2/26 and i got it on 3/12. eeeekk! So there may be some hope?? but if u went 2 divoh, i think you have a big chance. (but I was @ DIVOH…i think i said that i didnt in another post). </p>
<p>I also have the change in financial status but it didnt happen until 3/11 a bit after the letter was sent. A few of my friends who have been admitted still have no change. So I think it depends on when you submitted your IDOC/financial materials, when the financial aid office gets notice of your acceptance, etc</p>
