<p>Hi, I haven’t been able to visit Amherst yet, but my sisters went to Smith College which is a part of the 5 schools, so I know the area. But I’ve read that Amherst is a very “athletic” college. I don’t have a problem with some athleticism, but do Amherst students seem very concerned with sports? Because I’m not a sports person at all, not that I hate them, but I do hate ESPN and watching most sports on TV.</p>
<p>My single qualm about Amherst is that I wouldn’t be able to connect with people if they’re so into sports, which I doubt and it’s probably just an unfounded stereotype of Amherst students anyways.</p>
<p>I’ve heard of Williams being stereotyped as excessively athletic, but never the Herst!</p>
